We can say that the seed of this film occurred to us on the bus, during a conversation where we tried to come up with inspiring visuals. We could say that it happened when we first met, and realized that we saw in each other something rare, a voice that whispered that our connection went deeper than we thought. The truth is, La Caza is the result of a lot of conversations about life, film, love, nature, womanhood, and loss. It's what happens when two creatures see each other in the wild and recognize a part of themselves in each. It's a film about losing fear and, sometimes, chasing it. Because you never know what's waiting for you on the other side.
Nothing compares to the fortune of having friends who inspire you, let alone make films with them.

La Caza comes from a lack of sleep and a surplus of joy.

Come catch it on Friday June 26th as part of the Vancouver International Youth Film Festival ( @viyff2026 ), along with projects by other amazing filmmakers! We would love to see ya there 🐇🍃🦌 by @solene_pango
