Today’s topic for #WellnessWednesday is Mindfulness! 🧘🏽‍♀️

According to Sol Food Philosophy, being mindful of our actions & words is the secret to a happy & healthy life! by @solfoodtlv

Today is #WellnessWednesday and we're talking about movement!🏃‍♀️

Moving in any way each day is vital for 5 different reasons:
1. By moving you're strengthening your bones which improve stability, balance and coordination.
2. Movement helps build more durable, denser and overall stronger bones.
3. It can help “regrow” the structures of the brain linked to cognitive decline in older adults.
4. By keeping fit we could avoid up to 10,000 fatal heart attacks, it's needed to ensure a healthy heart.
5. Better lung efficiency since by keeping your rate up your cardiorespiratory endurance improves, too.

I think that's enough to convince that one of the secrets of being well is by moving. What are you doing today to move - dancing, running, taking a walk, excersing or something else? Share with me in the comments below.👇

Look at this lovely cake I made a few days ago and there's no better way to top it off than with some fresh berries, specially during summer. Are you also baking cakes in summer just like I do? Let me know in the comments.🍰

I just found my grandmother’s brownie recipe and I had to prepare it to see if it resembles the way I remember it tasting. It sure did resemble the smell, but next time I need to bake it in a flat baking dish instead of a bread loaf tin. Take a look!🍴

Sol Food Philosophy speaks about bringing awareness to the impact of what we do and what we say on our Selves, Others & Life.

Practicing healthy, non-violent communication is like going to the gym. It requires stopping to think before we speak, in order to consider the potential outcome of what may be the effect and whether we want to choose to accept all responsibility that comes with the outcome (which may be different than we imagine).🧘‍♀️

My dear friend and colleague, Bert Cohen, put it in a nutshell and I think this may provide a good tool for some. He said something along the lines of “When you are considering what you have to say, ask yourself 3 questions:
Is it the truth?
Is it needed?
Is it kind?”

I see this as a perfect bite-size tip that can serve as food-for-positive-thought from the Sol Food Philosophy. By practicing this, I believe perhaps we can have a more harmonious, healthy and happy life.✨ by @solfoodtlv

I’m excited to announce that new series on my account called #SolfulSundays is kicking off already next week!✨

Before that, it’s important to set a stage and there’s no better way to do it than remind what Sol (my food philosophy) is all about and how it intersects with @betheproject.

SOL: Self, Others, Life.
What does it mean for you to Be. ___ to your self, others & life?

How would you answer that? Tell me in the comments or share this post and tag me in your story. I’m eager to see what Be.ing ___ means to you.🙌 by @solfoodtlv
