Been jamming on this idea lately. It’s best to practice as shitty and as raw as possible. Because then when you play that shit live, people are impressed with how much better you sound. by @solobscura

Been jamming on this new riff the last couple days.

More progress on the album art. The branches took awhile. The thirteenth and final track off our debut album “Rising”
#hardrock #metal #progressive #stoner #blues #alternative #music #independent #experiment #experimental

Rise to toil
the dreary drudge
Hands were meant to bleed

Saunter through
this endless mess,
long and lonely

A worker’s day,
a squandered life
How much do you need?

The pact is long
and writ in blood

Take the days
and add them up.
Bots were built to feed

Lost are all
the treasured dreams,
dried and dying

Turned to rot,
a withered husk
How long can you bleed?

The pact is long
and writ in blood

All that’s left, I’ve left it to you
All of which, you’ve taken from me
Nothing’s left. I give it to you
All that was, you’ve taken from me
What’s left of me?

The pact is long
and writ in blood

Take my name
and sell my life
I’m already dead

Take my name
and sell my life
I’m already dead.

I’M ALREADY DEAD! by @solobscura

The twelfth track off our debut album “Rising”
#hardrock #metal #progressive #stoner #blues #alternative #music #independent #experiment #experimental

As the shadows grow giving way to
the softer side of a day not so new
Ultra-violence rains down upon this beaten brow
Tides of mandarin skies calm my mind

Flight of fancy left the field
found another for tonight
All sides flanked
ready to strike me down
I’ve held her ground
Escaped the scathe
forsake these ruthless hounds
and bask into her iridescence

Break the east horizon
the next new day light slicing,
cutting through
Senses are surprising
lightning stricken in her form
Violence rains through

Flight of fury locked in the field
Brute on fire for a fight
All sides flanked
ready to strike me down
Hands strangle earth to hold ground
Scraped and scathed and baked
forsaken now

What now?

Dusk has settled down without it’s peace
Moon lit shadows toy with sanity
Bonds of courage tie you all to me
No rest for the wicked we became

In the valley of so many fallen sons
Come face me!
Prayers to fallen gods, the devil hears our call
Come take me!

If my hold slips long enough that you
Wrench these restless arms away from me
Keep your guard of this, my final vow:
In my throes, I’ll take you down with me now

As we fight for liberties long forgotten
The surge that ran through blood empties, long forgotten by @solobscura
