Cable car - museum🚠 was such a fun experience!
It’s the world’s last manually operated cable car system! I’m so happy somebody saved this special piece of history for us to enjoy.🥰
The story of San Francisco’s cable cars begins in 1869, when Scottish-born engineer Andrew Smith Hallidie witnessed a tragic incident involving horses struggling to pull streetcars up the city’s steep hills. Inspired by this, Hallidie developed a steam-powered cable system, leading to the launch of the first successful cable car line—the Clay Street Hill Railroad—on August 2, 1873. This innovation revolutionized urban transportation, allowing for safer and more efficient travel on San Francisco’s challenging terrain.

Hallidie’s invention became a symbol of innovation and progress, quickly expanding to other parts of the city. By the late 19th century, cable cars had become an essential part of San Francisco’s transportation network, connecting neighborhoods like Nob Hill, Chinatown, and Fisherman’s Wharf. This revolutionary mode of transport provided a reliable way for residents and tourists alike to traverse the city’s famously hilly landscape.

This summer I saw very unusual colors in the sky and I couldn’t ever imagine ,that this is even possible…same with dreams..

The Best trip to San Francisco yet. 🌁🛥️
Big city vibe made me feel so alive 🥰
Of course we’ve travelled the world , and to plan trips for us is simple. But this time my husband overdid himself with planing such an amazing trip , all the beautiful locations and stops.

Виявляється замість того щоб переживати за парковку , чи будуть цілі вікна в машині і т.д…можна просто приплисти на кораблику і назад)Як то кажуть «з корабля на бал») Геніально)Мій чоловік перевершив себе в плануванні цієї поїздки)
Стільки цікавих місць і емоцій . Показали дитині ,що таке трамвай, вона була в захваті) Все-таки енергія великого міста захоплює)

These 1000 year old sequoias are something else 😍I can’t believe that at 1 point in their lifetime they were in danger and almost destroyed. So happy that there are people who care about preserving nature for next generations.
And the train that goes through an old forest is such a unique experience 👌.🚂We definitely enjoyed it) I don’t even know who enjoyed it more our little one or grandpa)
