From West Africa to Colombia to France and Holland, Palenque Records is bringing back the West African hypnotic guitar language of Bopol Mansiamina and vocals of Nyboma in a tradition of Afro Colombian style ! We had again the privilege, with Bopols Kumina remix still in memory, to connect the music to Holland and transform the allready masterpiece, to a more electronic rhythmic highlife version. Thanks to labelowner and cinemagraph, Lucas Silva who happens to bring it all together on Colombian recordlabel Palenque Records! Turn it up and let Bopols guitar bring extasy and let the Electro Rhumba Soukous rhythm tells the story of “Esta Tierra No Es Mia”” This Land Is Not Mine. 🌴🔥❤️ @palenquerecords #newrelease #bopolmansiamina #lucassilva #africandiaspora #highlifemusic. So proud to be part of this AfroColombian Remix Vol. 1 on vinyl! Maybe one of my most favorite remixes is Kumina, working with material of Congolese Bopol Mansiamina and legendary Justo Valdez of Son Palenque!! Kumina remix ended up in Colombian Arthouse Comedy Movie “El Concursante” 2019 by director Carlos Osuna!! Ten years ago, a sound was born that bridged roots and reinvention, today Galletas Calientes and @palenquerecords Records are proud to announce the official reissue of AfroColombian Remix Vol. 1 on vinyl!! This limited vinyl editiin celebrates the legacy of the original release while honoring the artists, communities, and sounds that inspired it!! Original songs, courtesy of @palenquerecords by Bopol Mansiamina (rip) & @laleyenda_justovaldez @sexteto.tabala @sonpalenque Versions by: @solomoderna @ghettokumbe @rafaelaragondj artwork @williamgupe or “El Maestro” Gutierrez

Feeling stoked! This weekend Krage and I teamed up to record new material, raw and impulsive! We stretched necks, scratched throats, plugged cables, pushed buttons, drank tea and ate krentenbollen & bananas!
Omg we can’t wait to let you hear!
Before that, we need to polish ofcourse, edit the tracks and make it ear-candy and hap-klare-brok, so hold your breath.. The lyrics are really amazingly funny this time ba-da-brrr, tch-tch, haaa, cli-click, ofcourse Dada watches our avantgarde backs always..

In the meanwhile you can still enjoy our Daīsm album and Planeta Da Roca 7. For that check the linktree👆and stay tuned!! Love from Krage & Solo Moderna ❤️🌴🔥🤟 by @solomoderna

⏪ 🇳🇱 Rewinding back to 2010 for #throwbackthursday this week, and to the wicked @pushinwoods sound system party in Groningen, Netherlands, spinning tunes alongside the magnificent resident DJs, and super selector @solomoderna 😎 by @solomoderna

That special moment, once a year maybe, when the low sun in the early morning hits the room and being interrupted by the nearby highway traffic, creating a free slideshow of natures brightest yellow and turquoise washes.. #whatdoyouknow @krage.land #tb303day #daism @galletas.calientes by @solomoderna
