What did your training look like last week?

If you’re going to go for it, really f*cking go for it. Go all in. Give it everything. Dream about it. Visualise it. Give it your absolute all.

This weekend I raced my first standard distance #Duathlon @goodwoodmotorcircuit - Lots of great athletes, an amazing event by @runthroughuk an iconic setting with #spitfires taking off and of course on the #britishGrandprix weekend @silverstonecircuit . What a privilege to race in front of my close friends and family (the chief). Met two other savages @jackthelad__ and @callamcanning and of course a big thank you to the incredible @laurenricketts for all her support without her, I wouldn’t even be running. Anyone who knows her, knows how kind, warm, genuine, loving and thoughtful she is. I’m very lucky ❤️ There are lots of others I want to mention. You’re all in my DM’s cheering me on, you know who you are, Martyn @coachedbymilss Fran, James, Del, Ollie, Sammy, Mohammed. Too many to mention.

I do want to make a special mention to the person behind the scenes @solomon.foy - another total savage - when I first met him I was an injured runner, I didn’t have a bike and had in fact never even ridden a road bike. I was on a cycle machine in the gym, breathing heavy and sweating a lot. No direction whatsoever. Just training as hard as I could aimlessly. His guidance, support and direction is what has got me here. Seeing my potential, taking me on as an experiment or just feeling pity. Whatever it was, I am grateful. If there is one thing that he has taught me and that I would share with other athletes is to ‘train with intent’ Have a purpose with every session. If it’s weights, running, even stretching. Do. It. With. Purpose. That’s what was missing and what he taught me. Thanks for being there for me and your continued and authentic friendship, guidance and counsel. My guy.

Anyway said a lot, enjoy the music and photos and ‘We go again soon’ @247represent @huubdesign @bikeonscott @garminrunning @adidasrunning @shyusocks @kask_sport by @solomon.foy
