ELEVATING ICONS: Solomon Sounds

@solomonsounds really one of them ones. Quiet dude, loud resume. A lot of people may not know the name right away, but they for sure know the impact✊🏽

Highlights:
• Managed XXXTentacion
• Discovered @6ix9ine
•Signed @IceSpice, @theslumpgod,@cochise, @mayorcapellagrey and more
• Played a part in records and artists that generated BILLIONS of streams
• Helped build real moments in the culture, not just songs
• One of those behind-the-scenes people with a real ear, real relationships, and real results!

This is what real exec work look like. No gimmicks. No extra talking. Just being involved in some of the biggest artists and viral moments of this era.

A lot of this game moves because of people the public don’t even see, the STARS behind the stars🌟

@CourtesyOf 1st Annual Turkey Drive. But it wasn’t about turkeys. It’s about brotherhood, community, and giving back. NYC raised us all and it’s only right we give back, and do it with our children. by @solomonsounds

Before XXXTentacion’s fame, it was about his freedom - and that’s what he remembered. Solomon cared about Jahseh’s life, not just his legacy.

Manager of the late XXXTentacion and Afrobeats star Teni, Solomon Sounds knows talent and what it takes to guide a career.

Coming from a single-parent Nigerian household in New York, he’s seen how easy it is to fall prey to the streets — a reality many of our young brothers face. Thank God for second chances. Now, as a father of two and a respected figure in the music industry, Solomon continues to accomplish what many haven’t.

In this clip, I asked him what advice he would give to young men being bullied for being African, Haitian, or simply different — something so many of us experienced in NYC public schools.

Do you agree with Solomon’s advice? What would you say to young people facing this today? Drop your thoughts in the comments — the next generation is listening.

From chasing waves in the early 2000s to chasing wellness today.

Solomon Sounds shared that his very first grooming product was a wave grease kit with the brush and durag — the starter pack of an era when the biggest flex was who had the best waves.

But when asked what he’d like to see more of in the Black community, his answer went deeper: Black men prioritizing their health by going to the doctor and seeking therapy.

Polished Perspectives is about style, but also about the conversations that matter. Drop your first grooming product in the comments and watch the full convo now on YouTube
