A coat rack I made for furniture class. Red Oak base, African Mahogany post, and Rosewood pegs+feet. Finished with Rubio Monocoat (as always). The post is secured with a mortise and 2 threaded inserts, I would’ve used glue but I decided to save myself the headache of moving it when my lease ends.

A made a stool! This was the first piece of furniture I’ve made so far under my apprenticeship, pretty proud of it. stool is made of sinker cypress with mahogany wedges and bow-tie. more stools to come taken in Irish Channel by @solon._love

I made another desk. This time featuring 2 types of wood and cabinets. This took me way longer than it should have but it’s finally done and I’m pretty satisfied with the end result.

A pretty easy way to make something out of nothing. I decided to make a cutting board using strips of material left over from the desk I’m building. Honestly it was a good bit easier than I expected, whole thing took me maybe 3-4 hours.

After 95 hours of work, I made a bowl. It’s made out of genuine mahogany and was made using just hand tools. This is the first of hopefully many projects to come out of my apprenticeship. taken in New Orleans, Louisiana by @solon._love
