We got our hands on some ostrich eggs and they are even more impressive in person! 😍🥚 They are also incredibly strong!

Would you dare to stand on one? 😂 It can probably withstand your weight if you’re not over 200 pounds! 👀

Top things to do in Solvang, California, a little slice of Denmark!

Solvang is easy to explore in one to two days. Save this for your trip 🇺🇸 🇩🇰

1️⃣ Explore downtown Solvang
Walk the Danish style streets, see the windmills, charming buildings, shops, and photo spots 📸
2️⃣ Try Danish pastries 🥐
Don’t miss local favorites like Birkholm’s Bakery & Cafe, Mortensen’s Danish Bakery, Solvang Bakery, and Olsen’s. Arrive before 10 AM for the best selection. Try the æbleskivers!
3️⃣ Visit Old Mission Santa Inés
A beautiful historic mission with gardens and California history🌿
4️⃣ Discover Danish heritage
Explore Elverhøj Museum and the Hans Christian Andersen Museum. 📚
5️⃣ Wine taste 🍷
Enjoy nearby Santa Ynez Valley vineyards and tasting rooms.
6️⃣ Feed ostriches 🦤
Visit OstrichLand USA for a fun and unique stop.
7️⃣ Eat local 🍽️
Try Copenhagen Sausage Garden for Danish style food or Peasants FEAST for a modern meal.

We tried Birkholm’s Bakery & Cafe and Mortensen’s Danish Bakery and both were great!
3️⃣ Visit Old Mission Santa Inés
A beautiful historic mission with gardens and California history
4️⃣ Discover Danish heritage
Explore Elverhøj Museum and the Hans Christian Andersen Museum (it’s very small mostly like a bookstore)📚
5️⃣ Wine taste 🍷
Enjoy nearby Santa Ynez Valley vineyards and tasting rooms.
6️⃣ Feed ostriches 🦤
Visit OstrichLand USA for a fun and unique stop.
7️⃣ Eat local 🍽️
Try Copenhagen Sausage Garden for Danish style food or Peasants FEAST for a modern meal. We are at Peasants FEAST and everything was delicious.
