As I look at these photos or look myself in the mirror I just smile. Because I love the person I am looking at. This beautiful flawed being that is beautiful inside and out. I never would have considered this look to be beautiful and baby she beautiful.

I’ve went from one “failed” situation after another pouring my “all” into it claiming I love easy, and I do. But never really receiving what I felt I gave back from the other person. And I would blame them saying it’s their lost bc they lost my love. But as I continue on my journey of loving me and my beauty inside and out. I realized that they could’ve never loved me properly bc I didn’t love me properly. I was getting attached to a fantasy that I felt I wanted to live, what was programmed in me to want. Settling on things that looked great on the outside but deep down I knew wasn’t great for me. Being alone for majority of these past 2 years I’m learning a lot about myself. And what it is that I truly want. Which is peace and as I set out and prepare for this next chapter I realize I am never alone bc I have God, my love for myself, and my ancestors to be there with and for me and to help guide me. As I explore the love for myself gets me ready to explore this big beautiful world and get ready for whatever is meant for me! As I continue on this journey of learning and loving myself I realize it starts and ends with me. The love is in me the beauty is in me and what’s meant for me will be for me by @solovelyyg

My 4th time on @dapoetrylounge_co stage and all I can say is wow at my elevation! This is the first time I read without reading! But baby did I rehearse it a lot thank you to my friends and family who sat and listened to this over and over while I practiced! And surprisingly my little sis @datssojess gave me the best pointers! I still have ways to go but I am proud of my accomplishments so far! by @solovelyyg
