Somewhere between the trailhead and the summit, there are moments you could never plan 🇩🇪

Hiking at over 6,700ft toward the Alpspitze peak in the German Alps, I caught a fellow hiker stopping to take it all in. The red against the mountains, the sheer scale of the landscape still left ahead, and that quiet moment of awe after putting in the miles to get there.

There’s something so good about a physical challenge that leaves you completely spent, but somehow more alive than when you started. The tired legs, the effort, the views you had to earn… suddenly every step feels worth it.

The German Alps really are something else 🏔️

Spot the humans 📷

Berchtesgaden National Park has the best way of making you feel really, really small. The hike along Obersee to the Röthbachwasserfall in particular is one for the books. With a mix of turquoise blue waters and astounding granite peaks that leave you breathless.

Bavaria has truly left its mark with its beauty and adventure, as well as the attention to conservation — an important reminder to keep nature as it’s found, or better.

A sense of calm at Königssee, an astounding body of turquoise blue water surrounded by towering fjord-like mountains in southern Deutschland.

Taking the boat to the end of the lake allows you to fully immerse yourself into nature, and hike along the neighbouring Obersee (which is a phenomenal hike to the highest waterfall in Germany!).

Tirol, Austria: Truly a place of endless wonder and adventure. Hiking 20km of the Kaisertal was a dream, with stunning valleys and sharp mountain views.

Tucked in the northern alps region of Austria just over the border of Bavaria, Germany, this place is quite the quiet gem, with the bonus of hut to hut access. Well worth the effort 🥾

Some days, all you need is a moody low-light walk through the forest 🥾

Vancouver has its way of making the soul feel lighter; fresh misty air, the calm of old growth forests, and fog that touches the tree crowns as you pass through. This local spot is one of my favourites in terms of accessibility & is the perfect recipe for a mental reset (even on the rainiest of days).

Exploring Portugal’s oldest village 🇵🇹

Within the Minho region is Ponte de Lima, a place where stone traces back to Roman times, and still shapes these streets. Olive trees cast shade where people pause without hurry, and flowers spill into past corners.

Nestled in the North along mountains and lush greens, life moves without urgency, giving way to our vibrant culture.

Just north of Vancouver is Squamish, home to the Stawamus Chief, a granite monolith that rises straight out of the valley & impossible to ignore.

Treading through a river fed by glacial melt, a single boat drifted through, giving just enough scale to take it all in (had to go landscape on this one).

It’s the kind of place that doesn’t translate perfectly to a photo, but you try anyway.

In Pemberton, among the Whistler area, you’re never without a view.

Through the entirety of the hike, this trail offers constant alpine views while gradually leading you through quiet forest. Drawing you closer to the sound of the waterfall, the landscape shifts into rock, moss, and stunning turquoise glacial water.

Just 2 hours north of Vancouver, and well worth the visit.

Some places don’t just stay in your camera roll, they stay with you 🦞🐋🫐🌲

I find myself thinking about this view when the seasons begin to shift, when summer starts to return. Endless ocean, rugged cliffs, wind in the trees, and light that lingers just a little longer.

For me, this place quietly holds a piece of my story that I’ll keep close forever.
