Hi everyone!

All songs and albums are at the end of the post :)

Long time no talk! It was a lovely summer—I hiked a lot, played a lot of shows, and worked a bunch. It’s not been the best time to talk about fashion, admittedly. I burned out. The passion for clothing (from the industry and people in it) took a backseat to events, PR, and marketing, leaving me wondering where all the good clothing went. New York Fashion Week was a dud (save for @kozaburo_kopi ‘s presentation and the Thom Browne animal/bug shoes (see them on @eddiemarcoe ‘s Instagram)). I didn’t feel particularly engaged, inspired, or even excited to wear a lot of what I saw. Bummer!

Music—at least right now—is much more exciting! Here’s a list of everything I enjoy currently, though it never feels like I can write about it as quickly as I can find new things. I really enjoy visiting my local records shops (Human Head, Archivo, Nexus Records, Deep Cuts, and Pixelated) and they consistently serve as treasure troves of ‘90s and ‘00s gems. by @solthompson

Hi Friends!

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? I missed writing. I miss my friends! I miss the unstructured, self-directed, nerve-racking state of being that is being unemployed in your mid-20s.

Good news; I have a job! Bad news; it’s a lot of work!

I wanted to write about what I listen to; I love to send my friends songs and albums. @shaad of Shaad Magazine (who I meant to reach out to while in London, oops) inspired me to focus on what I’m listening to and write about it. I think it’s important to justify and defend your taste. If you hate something I put on this list, please let me know. If you really loved something, please let me know. If you want to talk about something else, please let me know.

Hi friends!

I’ll be throwing my first edition of House Rules at @jupiter_disco on Wednesday, June 3rd with the wonderful @joel.evey, @jumpthelightskn, @eeepow, and @notlanavese!

I’ve been saving some really fun vinyl (read: I can’t find the tracks online so I’ve been waiting for a venue with vinyl capabilities) that I’m excited to share :)

See you there! by @solthompson
