Here's to an optimistic summer of reading! 📖

This is a loose TBR, more of a wishlist of books I hope to get to as I am very much a *mood reader* 🫠

I'm most excited for The First Act of Summer by @joannaglenwriter as it's set in my hometown of Mudeford! The perfect summer read! Also Villa Coco by Andrew Sean Greer and Skin Contact by Elisa Faison! 😍

✨ My last name is Luck and I love it 💖 (so much so I didn't take my husband's last name!)
✨ I have only embraced my natural curls this year after YEARS of obsessive straightening! Learning to love it 🤗
✨ I met my husband aged 15 doing work experience at what was Mizz Magazine... A very, very long story 😅
✨ I started 2025 with zero tattoos and ended it with 13, most of which we're done by tattoo queen @what.katy.does 👑

Absolutely loved our afternoon at Hampton Court Palace as always, and I think it's so special that you can buy plants grown from the gardens, what a wonderful souvenir! (Jack's just happy that I only bought two 🤭) by @soluckybea

Let me tell you about an encounter at a coffee shop where I happened to meet author Nicola Rose O'Hara, and why you should always talk to strangers!!!

Girl With Two Fingers is a memoir by Nicola about the time of her life she sat for eight paintings by Lucien Freud. This book is astounding, I'm half way through and I don't want to put it down! If you love reading about people and feeling as though you're a fly on the wall, this one's for you. There's nothing like reading about fascinating people - and it's written so beautifully, and honestly, that it'll have you hooked.

I absolutely adore when life gives you these moments, so fortuitous - I feel very grateful that our paths crossed and that it brought the book to me!

First day of the summer holidays complete ✅ (and of course it involves lots of books) 👉🏼

Coffee first so I can function 🫠

Time to get some work in whilst the boys play!

A trip to the charity shop is always a must

We love our local library @theamelia_tw and we're so lucky to have it! 😍

Signed up to the Summer Reading Challenge which gave me allllll the nostalgic vibes!

Checked out the new Archeology Adventure exhibit at @theamelia_tw a huge hit with the boys! 🪏

I even snuck a few pages in myself! Currently reading Girl With Two Fingers by @nicolaroseohara which is phenomenal 📖

A few more pages in the sun whilst enjoying some freshly picked strawbs from the garden! 🍓

Work work work 💻 So lucky to be able to do something I love and still be present for the boys

My little garden makes me so happy and proud, watching life literally happen before my eyes! 🫜

Highlights this week:
My first sunflower opened! 🌻
My first handful of strawbs 🍓
Little raspberry babies appearing!!!
Stunning nasturtium flowers!
Golden courgettes doing their thing!

I feel so grateful to have this pocket of joy right in my back garden 🩷
