Did you know prayer cards make perfect bonbonnière? 🤍

You might not have thought of them this way before, but they’re a beautiful way to invite your guests to pray, and an even more meaningful little thank you for coming!

Whether it’s a wedding, parish dinner, fundraiser, business conference or any special occasion, there's always a reason to invite Jesus into those events!

These prayer cards were designed alongside the menu cards for this years @SomascanMissions Dinner Dance, “For the Love of Children". Through these nights held every year, it helps supports the orphaned and vulnerable children through food, shelter and education in Mozambique, India and Sri Lanka

The Somascans, continue the mission of St Jerome Emiliani, founder and Universal Patron Saint of Orphans and Youth-in-Need, caring for vulnerable young people around the world!!! It's a real gift to have the Somascans in Sydney & Perth 🙏🏻

And yesterday @SomascanMovementAustralia celebrated the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of Orphans — happy feast day!

𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲̀𝗿𝗲?

𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝘀 𝗮 𝗗𝗠 — 𝘄𝗲’𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗰𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 🤍

St Jerome Emiliani,
pray for us and all the Orphans of the world.
Mary Mother of Orphans,
pray for us and all the Orphans of the world.

Oh most sweet Jesus,
do not be my judge, but be my saviour.

Menu cards and prayer cards on the day of the event!

Dear Somballers Parents,

I hope you and your families are well.

Due to activities and commitments in our calendar, we will not be able to have our Somballers session on Friday, 11 September.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Our remaining Somballers sessions for 2026 are:
_25 September
_9 October
_23 October
_13 November - End-of-Year Presentation

The End-of-Year Presentation will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our young Somballers, their commitment, progress, friendships and, above all, the joy they have shared throughout the year.

We are very grateful to all the parents for your continued support and for bringing your children along each week. Your encouragement makes a real difference as we build not only basketball skills, but also friendship, teamwork and community.

*Information about the 2027 Somballers program and the starting dates for next year will be announced in January 2027.*

Thank you once again for being part of the Somballers family. We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday, 25 September, and to finishing the year together! by @somascanmissions

Celebrating 21 years of @parousiamedia !

It was a privilege for Father David to attend the Fundraising Gala last night, representing the Somascans. Parousia Media is one of our committed benefactors, and it is a true blessing to share in their mission too!

For 21 years, Parousia Media has been steadfastly sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. With their mission beautifully renewed, they remain completely committed to stepping boldly into the future, continuing to live out this vital calling for the greater glory of God.

Another highlight of the evening for us: @somascanmissions SOMBallers Head Coach was incredibly proud to win the silent auction of an iconic image of Michael Jordan! This special piece will be proudly displayed and carefully looked after as a wonderful memory of the night for SOMBaller ministry. 🏀🏆

Huge congratulations to Charbel and the entire team on this incredible milestone. We pray for many more years of fruitful ministry ahead! by @somascanmissions

SOMASCAN MISSIONS CHARITY BALL, WA 2026

On Friday 14 August, 2026, we had the privilege of hosting the inaugural Somascan Missions Charity Ball in the beautiful University Club of WA.

The night was filled with 200 special guests from our Somascan Parishes, as well as many friends and benefactors who heard from General Councillor for the Somascan Global Offices of Missions, Protection of Minors, Formation and the Laity; Principal Lawyer of St Raphael Council; and the Director of Somascan Missions Fr Chris de Sousa CRS who shared on the progress of Somascan Missions Apostolates both nationally and internationally.

The night's call to action prompted the guest to think about ways that they could contribute both through service and financially to the initiatives run by Somascan Missions.

A huge thank you to Anthony Pintaudi from 7 Day Pharmacy, Spearwood, as well as our many vendors and sponsors who contributed beautiful prizes and items for the Silent Auction which helped to raise over $32,000!

THANK YOU!
