23 on the 23rd -
I had *briefly* gotten so excited about my golden age being my jordan year, but I’m even more excited for life in itself and the love of the One I’ve sworn to live life for.

Birthdays have always been about reflection and basking in the love of those around me. Reflecting on this past year and beyond has left me at the feet of my Lover in gratitude.
Daddy, Your daughter is grateful, and I will forever be loud about Your love. I will tell of Your patience, of Your faithfulness!! My love for You consumes the very core of my being, it’s a weight I struggle to carry. I’m still a work in progress, but I’m Your work in progress and that’s what matters.

G-ma, this one hit home. You’ve left such a terribly unique hole that no one can fill. I didn’t grow up w grandpas cuz they passed when both parents were much younger and I lost Googoo when I was much younger, it’s always been you. And it’s so up your alley to make sure no one ever feels absence, now you’re gone. I miss you & I love you, deeply. I’ve missed you for a while nne. This period has made me realise genuinely that the world does infact keep moving. Having to show up, live and participate in society ate at me everyday for a while. I think and feel for anyone that didn’t get to experience you firsthand, but your stories & memories will never die. We sent you home beautifully my bae, everyone showed up & the reality of all the lives you impacted is still hitting. Thank you for the gift of you and making every single one of us feel special uniquely. Gaa zukwaike ijele.
