Brego

“The King’s Horse”

BRN49392
Tommy Pegge x Luca

PSA 1 x4
APPDA EL

Named after the Lord of the Rings King Aragon’s horse, Brego is a large, dominant male who at just 2.5 years old, has commanded a presence both on and off the field in a way that has spread his name not only across the country, but across the world.

Lean at 83lbs, he is strong, fast, and glides effortlessly with every movement. Neutral to social with people but dominant & can be aggressive towards other male dogs (good with female dogs). Incredibly stable; he was imported from Pegge Police Dogs at 10 weeks old and has been living in New York City ever since, while also comfortably & confidently traveling all over the country multiple times a year.

He has excelled with every challenge thrown at him from a variety of bite sports and personal protection work, in a way that has made everyone do a double take when they realize how young he is. Those that know his lines well, know exactly where he comes from the moment they see him work.

Now available as a stud to approved females only.

Regionals decoy’s choice dog

Brego has no idea what any of this means, he simply had an absolute blast out there and I have so many of you to thank for that.

Thank you @kultured_k9s @aus_ave @ajdogtrainer @joe_pecker @abraham_pena & Chris for keeping my boy safe while putting him to the test. Brego being picked regionals decoy’s choice dog by such a talented group was a real honor.

Thank you @deadpool_decoy for not only your fair judging & feedback, but for also keeping the attitude of the trial up even with the storm we had to endure the entire weekend.

Thank you to my club, @badcompanyworkingdogs ; I am beyond proud of this moment that represents the collective blood, sweat, and bruises it took to get here.

Thank you @southpaw_k9_coaching for the endless support, coaching & mentorship. “Bring home a lesson or a leg” stuck with me the whole time we were out there. You’ve built us up as a team and we really wouldn’t be standing on that podium if it weren’t for your coaching & the work you put into this dog.

Thank you @shogunworkingdogs for not only putting on an amazing trial but for always being so welcoming to us & helping us prep.

Thank you to my amazing husband, Doug, who works tirelessly behind the scenes to support our goals. We wouldn’t even have this dog if it weren’t for you, and we sure as anything wouldn’t be anywhere near any trial field if it weren’t for everything you do to literally get us there.

And last but absolutely not least, thank you to my puppy. We went into the weekend just excited to see where our training was at, so I’m most proud that Brego did every single thing I thought he would (except for the call-off.. that one was a surprise for me😂). For Brego’s first showing in the 2s, we took the point losses exactly where I knew we would in obedience, and that alone feels like a major win. I am so proud to be his teammate. Pass or fail, he’s always my best boy, my best friend, & forever my little 83lbs puppy.

The level 1 was supposed to be her “PSA3”, yet here we are truly playing in the 2s and we’re both having the absolute best time every time 👯‍♀️

She will likely eat the food. She will likely see a jump as Mount Everest. She might break a stay and put herself back before I even turn around. She will likely whine & bark throughout the routine. She’s not the fastest dog but she believes she’s moving at the speed of sound. She’s not the flashiest dog, nor is she the most put together.. she’s just the kind of dog that will just do it, her way 😆 She’s just a girlie.

3 fails + 1 pull before my little girlie pulled it together and achieved a passing score in obedience and got to have the time of her life in protection 💞 thank you to the decoys who kept her safe while putting her to the test. Thank you, Kevin @kevingoedephotography , for your fair judging when we passed, and @sroberts1731 @deadpool_decoy @crdog83 for your fair judging and helpful feedback for when we failed & pulled. We got better with each showing, as we saw each time as an opportunity to learn & grow.

I hope we get the chance to close this title out. She’s 6.5 years old and will be 7-7.5 by the time we’re both ready to step onto a trial field again next season. We were doing this for the memories and the fun of the sport, and I’m just so proud and happy she even got this far.

Thank you @southpaw_k9_coaching for seeing the potential in my little pet girlie 3.5 years ago and helping us achieve goals we never thought would be possible. Thank you to our club, @badcompanyworkingdogs , for being the best team we could ask for.

Thank you to my amazing husband, Doug, for everything you do so we can go out there and the best time while achieving our goals. Doug is Ava’s biggest fan 💞

And to my girlie… I do it all for you. You’ve changed our lives COMPLETELY and I’m just so grateful to have you by my side every day, every step of the way. You’re our best friend.
