This was extremely difficult to make, and even harder to convince myself to post. I'm genuinely amazed I did well at all on the internet, and I'm thankful to everyone who's continued to support me.

My grandfather once told me that "God gave us creativity, because He knew we would get bored!" He died of alzheimer's. Actually, my grandfather was one of several in a string of family deaths. One of them was also my uncle Dan, of whom I was named after. He was a precious friend who taught me the world would be nothing without magic and fun.

When both of them died within a few months of each other, no matter how hard I tried, the piece of me that loved drawing and comedy were buried with them. I've been fighting it for a long time, but I don't think I'll ever have that love again, and I'm sorry to all of my fans who might have hoped differently.

After losing thousands of followers and watching the internet be overrun by out-of-touch CEO's, bots, and AI ads, I finally asked myself-- Why am I putting up with this? What am I actually gaining from feeding the machine?

I don't care for validation. Views don't matter anymore (just ask YouTube). I've lost so many followers, I've stopped caring about that. Likes are useless. Hashtags are even more useless. I don't get paid to do any of this, so why am I trying so hard for something I have no passion for?

Music and animation are what I really want to do. And no one's death but mine will ever kill my drive for it.

Thank you again for enjoying my art, and I hope you continue to enjoy it. Just in a different way. Until this forsaken app bursts into flames and social media collapses, I'll be here.
