sometimes my emotional landscape while creating a piece defines my memory of it ~ with me since last November in bisque state (until now), this one is the opposite. I’ll remember her presence in my space during an immensely challenging, humbling and tender, yet expansive and connective season in my spiral — a soft witness to more grief, shame, hope, strength and joy than I’ve maybe ever felt all at once.

she’s off to a new home just as I leave the country for a reset. kinda divine timing it seems.

thank you Morgan @thefound.studio for the initial spark to make her <3 taken in Victoria, British Columbia by @someone__ceramics

its taken me a while to land on pieces that I feel drawn to recreate, a new space to play in ~~~ my sculptural pieces will always be 1:1, but I’m loving revisiting these ones in micro batches.

for now, because I’m always changing <3

for @thatgirllkate ~ this glaze is always a sweet surprise, sometimes resulting in more defined speckles and other times a melty psychedelic-esque swirl. this time it’s giving toasted marshmallow jelly belly (iykyk) ꩜ taken in Victoria, British Columbia by @someone__ceramics
