I’ve listed @domainesigalas #assyrtiko for my wine lists for many years, so it was a delight to visit and taste the wines on the island. What an amazing place. Great wines, unbelievable landscape and viticulture. We sadly didn’t get to see the winery, but the tasting room team and the cuisine at the restaurant were a delight. Ooooh, fireside Aussie Shiraz, classic Barossa in its power. Full-bodied, savoury and structured with plenty of vibrant fresh dark berry fruit and deluxe oak, but certainly not OTT. Delish.
I was invited to try this award winning wine from the team @peterlehmannwines I have to say, it’s pretty impressive, worthy of aging yet quite moreish, so could be a tricky one to ‘forget’ in the cellar 😉 Even @thomaswines was impressed.
Very wine list worthy!
Looking forward to trying the Semillon next 🤩
