This poem will always touch my heart. It resonates to much with me, because I’ve been through a stage of feeling like I’m not part of anything and I’m not whole because of my ethnicity and mixed background. This is me. I love me. You should love you.

I am an entirety, I am not a lack of anything; rather I am a whole of many things. God did not see it needful to make me generic. He thinks I am better than that.

Part 1
I got injured at King’s Gym Croydon due to faulty equipment.
Their response? They banned me.

For nearly two months, I kept this quiet, I dealt with it over emails-professionally and with respect; I gave them a chance to do the right thing. I sent notice after notice, then final legal notice. I waited.

Instead of helping me or taking accountability, they ignored, dismissed, gaslit — and retaliated. They refuse to send me the cctv footage of my injury incident, they refuse to give evidence of their claims made against me after they received a legal notice.

This is what I’ve been going through.
This is what it looks like when your body is in pain and a business pretends it never happened.

Truth is… some of us became so good at surviving that it stopped looking like survival.

I smiled through grief.
I worked through pain.
I mothered through exhaustion.
I laughed through heartbreak.

Not because it was easy.
Because life didn’t pause long enough for me to fall apart.

If I’ve learned anything, it’s that strength rarely looks the way people expect it to.
