First came love, then came marriage… and now comes baby McCaffrey in the baby carriage! We’ve been lucky enough to work with this beautiful couple from their engagement party to their wedding day, and most recently, their baby shower, an honor we don’t take lightly. For this special celebration, we worked closely with @lucioandreozzi on allllll the details - from their custom invitation suite featuring artwork by @juliesongink, and all the day-of paper goods, from delicate oval menus to a fully branded French-inspired bake shop experience, featuring custom café branding by @iamgeorgia.b. All signage was created by the talented @signsbyviv, and we’re so grateful to have worked side by side on such a large-scale day. We’ve dreamt of that for a long time! Huge thanks to @hopeinhandfuls and @walltowallink for helping bring everything to life (well before sunrise). And the cherry on top? This unforgettable celebration is featured in @voguemagazine. I always knew this was a day I’d want documented in multiple forms, but after receiving the most incredible recap video from one of my favorite weddings last year, choosing who to trust with it became really easy. @trophywivesco has a way of capturing not just the details, but the people behind them. The new Something Borrowed is here!! 🥂 This wasn’t supposed to go live for another couple of weeks… but after feeling the excitement from all of you, seeing how much love this has already received, and the creative genius that is my friend @j.ashleyinnovations, we decided it was time. My rebrand is officially live. What started with signage has evolved into a full design experience - where your planning, design, and every last detail can live under one roof. From the first impression to the finishing touches, every experience is thoughtfully created to feel cohesive, elevated, and completely personal to you. This is what I’ve been building toward. One year ago this week, one of my favorite weddings from last season came to life. ✨ Featured in @weddingchicks, this celebration was filled with bright blues and pinks, whimsical details, and a timeless elegance that felt right at home at @longwoodvenuesanddestinations‘s Newport Beach House. What made it even more special were the personal touches woven throughout. Instead of traditional table names, each table was named after one of the M+W’s favorite restaurants, complete with a note sharing their go-to order and the memory behind it. It’s those thoughtful details that turn beautiful design into an experience your guests remember. A first impression, thoughtfully designed. Long before guests found their seats, they were welcomed into the celebration with an escort display that doubled as an installation. We wanted this moment to feel architectural yet approachable, allowing every detail to complement the overall design while serving a purpose. Escort displays are one of my favorite opportunities to create an intentional guest experience. Rather than simply directing guests to their tables, they become part of the story and one of the first design moments guests interact with as they enter the reception. It’s a reminder that functional details don’t have to be ordinary. Some weddings come together by playing it safe. This wasn’t one of them. Jenn and Jake embraced bold shapes, layered patterns, playful stripes, and an unexpected mix of greens and pinks to create something that felt elevated, fresh, and completely their own. Every detail was designed to connect, from the custom invitation shape to the acrylic place cards, matchbooks, and all of the little moments in between. One of my favorite parts of this project was getting to bring so many ideas to life. Jenn was excited about every little detail and trusted the creative process, which made designing for their wedding such a fun collaboration. Not every wedding detail has to serve just one purpose. Instead of traditional meal indicators, we created custom matchbooks for each entrée selection. They helped the catering team identify meals, doubled as a favor guests could take home, and most importantly, reflected something personal to the couple. They collect matchbooks from weddings, restaurants, and bars everywhere they go, so it felt fitting to weave that into their own celebration in a way that was both meaningful and functional. Event branding is so much more than creating a logo and putting it on everything. It’s about building a visual language for your wedding. The fonts, color palette, artwork, shapes, textures, and little design details all work together so every piece feels connected. For this wedding, featured in @stylemepretty, it started with C and K’s custom watercolor crest inspired by the couple’s actual blooms. From there, those watercolor florals carried through the invitations, day-of details, signage, and paper goods in different ways. Not because every piece matched exactly, but because they all came from the same foundation. Those intentional details are what make a wedding feel immersive. While coastal weddings may be what we’re known for, they’re far from the only designs we create. I like to think of myself as a design sponge. Every couple brings a different vision, and I love diving into their world to create something that feels completely unique to them. For this one, that meant leaning into lush, overgrown garden vibes with pops of warm copper throughout. It was unexpected, a little wild, and so much fun to bring to life. The best part of custom design is that no two weddings should ever feel the same.
