Welcome to Pierre’s World

Act One of Two Worlds is Pierre Robertson’s own: an evening of original, self-written songs, intimate and lyrical, sung by Werner van Coller, Tersia Harley, Lara Basson and Regina Malan. Pierre plays piano and synth alongside Tersia, with Stephan Bezuidenhout on double bass, Sebastian Duvenhage on guitar and Joshua Klein on drums.

Welcome to Bonny’s World

Act Two of Two Worlds belongs to Bonny White. She runs a vocal and musical theatre studio in Meadowridge and has spent years giving talented Cape Town performers a stage. She presents an evening of musical theatre with Bryony Bosman, Fiona Tanner, Georgia Bailey and Kristina Burge, with Reon Jacobs on piano.

Joshua is part of Pierre’s World.

Cape Town drummer and music educator Joshua Klein has spent more than a decade behind the kit and has freelanced across a wide range of genres since 2020. He holds a BA in Music Education in Jazz Studies from UCT, awarded with distinction, and completed his Honours in Jazz Performance there in 2025 with a first. In Two Worlds he keeps time in Pierre’s World on drums and percussion.

Sebastian is part of Pierre’s World.

A lifelong lover of music and of the guitar in particular, Sebastian Duvenhage has spent more than ten years with the instrument and moves easily from one genre to the next. That range is just what Pierre’s songs ask for, and in Two Worlds he brings it to Act One on guitar.

Stephan is part of Pierre’s World.

Dr Stephan Bezuidenhout has been musical director for Beauty and the Beast, All Shook Up and Fame, conducts the award-winning choir at Paul Roos Gymnasium, and recently played bassist Joe B. Mauldin in Pieter Toerien’s Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story. In Two Worlds he brings that double bass to Pierre’s World, holding down the low end of every song in Act One.

Reon is part of Bonny’s World.

Head of Music at SACS Junior School, Reon Jacobs studied Piano Performance at the University of Cape Town under the late Thomas Rajna and was twice a finalist in the piano category of the Concours Panafricain de Musique. In Two Worlds he is at the piano for Bonny’s World, accompanying the whole of the musical theatre half of the evening.

Speech therapist by day and seasoned performer by night, Kristina Burge has already sung in In Motion, Songs for a New World, Do It with a Duet and Broadway Bound this year. Regina is part of Pierre’s World.

Classically trained at Stellenbosch University, Regina Malan has sung Katisha in The Mikado at the Artscape Opera House with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and starred as Sibella in the first South African production of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. In Two Worlds she brings that voice to Pierre’s own songs: Froid Comme La Pierre, sung in French, and Gravitasie, with Tersia Harley and Lara Basson.

Georgia Bailey met Bonny White through amateur theatre in high school and has sung in many of her shows since, always drawn to discovering new characters and their stories. Performer, musician, sound tech, photographer, producer and self-confessed all-purpose nerd, Lara Basson does it all. She recently played Phoebe in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, where she was also assistant musical director. In Two Worlds she sings Change Your Story, shares The One You Feed with Werner van Coller, and adds her harmonies to Gravitasie and Toe Sien Ek Jou.

Froid comme la pierre (Stone Cold)
I wrote this one in English about four years ago, and then wondered how it would sound in French.
Every love begins as warmth, a shelter, a fire someone hands you to hold. But fire can turn to ash, and shelter can turn to tundra, until the heart you were given comes back to you stone cold, colder than when you first held it, and there is nothing left to do but let it go.
Regina Malan wil perform it in Two Worlds, an intimate theatre concert of original songs and musical theatre.

Music teacher, vocal coach, musical director and performer, Tersia Harley has spent years at the heart of musical theatre, first in East London and, since 2011, on stages across Cape Town. In Two Worlds she sings lead on You're My Song and I Say No, adds her harmonies to Gravitasie and Toe Sien Ek Jou, and joins Pierre at the keys.
