There is something deeply thrilling about turning sheets of paper into a notebook, and now we have three ways to try at our book binding workshops

Whether it’s a short 90 taster session to try saddle stitch or Japanese stab stitch binding, or our longer French Link stitch workshop, you’ll leave having made at least two notebooks.

We’ll step through a demo together, taking you through the process step-by-step and then be there to support you as you make your own.

No experience needed, all materials included - and plenty of dates to choose from to ease you into crafty, cosy season.

This October, we’re welcoming Michele from @slowstitchwhimsy to Something Good for a colourful introduction to Kawandi quilt making 🪡🧵

Dive into Michele’s gorgeous collection of curated, quirky fabrics and create your own mini quilt using traditional Kawandi stitching techniques. Expect lots of colour, beautiful scraps, slow stitching and plenty of time to settle into the rhythm of making.

Michele’s practice is all about slowing down, stitching mindfully and making something beautiful along the way - no need to rush, and definitely no need to be an expert.

📅 We’ve got two dates coming up this October:
💛 Sunday 18th October, 6pm
💛 Thursday 22nd October, 10am

Grab your chance to learn a new skill, get cosy with some fabric and leave with a little quilt of your very own.

🧵 All materials included
🌈 Beginner friendly
🎟 Find her in our Guest Workshops or events calendar on our website

Ps. Michele has years of experience in creating and quilting, but she's new to instagram, give her a follow to see her work 💛 taken in Something Good Workshops by @somethinggoodworkshops

The Bayeux Tapestry is having a moment and we we're here for it 🪡

With everyone flocking to the British Museum to catch a glimpse of this very famous medieval embroidery, we thought it was about time to get stitching ourselves.

Join us for Bayeux for Beginners, a 3-hour workshop where we’ll get hands-on with history, exploring the materials, techniques and stitches used to create this extraordinary 68.3m masterpiece. Then it’s your turn to have a go, starting your own little piece inspired by the motifs and mischief of the original.

All materials included, no medieval skills required. Just a bit of curiosity and a willingness to get tangled up in history.

Honouring Frida.

Art, Identity & Cacao is a new collaborative experience created by Frido Cacao × Something Good Workshops, bringing together Mexican cultural storytelling, traditionally prepared cacao and the creative practice of collage.

We will begin by gathering around Mexican cacao, exploring its history and cultural significance through a guided tasting.

From there, we will look beyond the popular image of Frida to understand how she used self-portraiture and personal symbolism to construct, question and express her identity.

Inspired by her visual language, each participant will create a symbolic self-portrait through collage, combining images, colours, memories and personal symbols that reveal something about their own story. No previous artistic experience is required—only curiosity and a willingness to look at yourself through a different lens.

This will be an intimate evening of cacao, art, reflection, conversation and creative self-expression in London.

Wednesday 21 October · 7–9 PM

Early Bird is SOLD OUT. Only 5 places remain.

If you would like to join us, comment FRIDA below and we’ll send you the booking details directly.

What symbols tell your story?

🎨 Sip & Paint is going mini! 🖌️

We’re back for our third Sip & Paint night, and this time we’re getting stuck into some gorgeous bookmark painting mini-kits from @paigesillustrations

Beautifully designed, beginner friendly, and so lovely you might want to frame your finished painting instead of using it as a bookmark. ✨

We’ve watched you speed through your paintings, take your time over the little details, and make each one completely your own. This month, we’re going mini with these lovely kits and spending a few hours getting to grips with gouache - a beautiful painting medium that makes it surprisingly easy to feel like an artist.

Enjoy a drink from the bar, take your time, and leave with your very own hand-painted bookmark. 💛

Choose from:

Sunflower Meadow 🌻
Oranges and Peaches 🍑

📅 Friday 18th September · 7pm
🎟 £20 including a drink

A lovely little evening of painting, drinks and making something good. Come and join us! 🖌️🍹 by @somethinggoodworkshops

A little shrine to the things you love? Yes please. ✨

We had so much fun seeing what everyone made at our last Make Your Own Mini Shrine workshop, our next one is coming up on Sunday September 27th at 2pm.

Bring along photos, trinkets and little treasures, or dig into our stash of bits and bobs to create something completely unique to your modern-day icons. Think favourite people, places, pets, objects, obsessions… anything that deserves a little shrine of its own.

We'll provide all the materials, including our in-house designed wooden mini shrines, plus a drink to keep you crafting.

Come and spend a few creative hours celebrating your favourite things and making your own totally maximalist piece to hang on your wall, sit on your desk, or gift to someone special.
