A statement in scale and style: a 52x49 foot hand painted dance floor at Four Seasons Costa Palmas for Tori & Jonny anchored the space with a stunning focal point. The entire space was custom built piece by piece just for the event, creating a truly bespoke and custom touch. Playful florals on the dance floor set against the visionary design of bold contrasts, cultural influences, and desert chic. We are proud and honored to have been part of @alyteich and @jay_c_edwards breathtaking day featured in @people. We are suckers for a good love story and these two took it to a whole other level. Thank you for letting us be a part of this vibrant, joyful, passionate adventure that we will never forget. For Aly and Jay, we hand-wrote the name of every guest on the dance floor and included painted footprints of their pup, Marley taken from his actual paw print. And we designed it all to look like a tile pattern. It was a meaningful and creative way to include their guests and loved ones. And every guest had fun looking for their names. Meaningful storytelling is our passion. Coastal chic was the vision, and a party was had. This is the kind of dance floor that is truly fine art created at a massive scale. It was incredibly detailed, bringing in an ocean theme without being cheesy or overly thematic. Pelicans, sea shells, coral and other ocean elements in muted tones brought a soft and evocative feeling to the space. The thoughtful details including the custom bar and the lovely seashell elements created such a magical atmosphere. A custom bar can completely change a space 🍸 For @madeline.maki & @ctmaki, we designed this one as a true part of the wedding aesthetic—not simply a place to serve drinks. Working with @somethingpainted_events, the bar was customized with their monogram, pattern and color palette, turning a functional piece into one of the most personal details in the room. Then came the layers around it: the florals, the styling, the incredible installation overhead, all coming together to make the bar feel like it had always belonged in the space. This is what we love when designing a wedding —details made specifically for our couples, brought to life beautifully in the space, and even better when we finally see the finished result. Sometimes I stop and think about the people who still choose artists and I feel overwhelmingly grateful. We are living in a time when almost anything can be replicated, printed, copied from a photograph or pulled from a Pinterest board. But I hope we never forget the extraordinary beauty of something being made by a human being. Someone standing in a studio late at night with paint on their hands, mixing a color again because the first one wasn’t quite just right. Someone stepping back, looking, changing, adding, erasing, beginning again. Creating something that didn’t exist before and will never exist again. There is a piece of the artist inside everything made this way. And I think you can feel that. The difference between something that was produced and something that was created. So I am deeply thankful for the people who still care about that difference. So to every person who commissions the painting, hires the artist, chooses the handmade piece, and believes that human creativity is still worth protecting, thank you. You are telling an artist that what comes from their hands, their imagination, and their heart still matters. And in this moment in time, I can’t think of anything more beautiful than that. Swipe through to the end to see a glimpse of our process ✨ Planning & Event Design @samkoma.world Planning Support @samkoma.mariann Photography @chardphoto Videography @mihocistudios Content @thesocialfm Venue @missioninnweddings Florals @floralsbyheritage Lighting @jacobco_creative Rentals @archiverentals Custom Linens @curatedeventscollective Hand-Painted Dance Floor @somethingpainted_events Entertainment @jordankahnorchestra Confessional Booth @klasseyconfessions Invitations @magnoliaboonepaperie Day-Of Paper Goods @mintedweddings Dresses @misshayleypaige @hayleypaigebride Beauty @thechelsearegan Hair @jaxseabrooke Groom’s Wedding Day Tux @hiveandcolony Groom’s Rehearsal Dinner Suit @indochino Wedding PR @beinspiredPR #handpainteddancefloor #hayleypaige #customdancefloor #artisticwedding #weddingdesign Bespoke wedding | wedding design | luxury wedding | california wedding | celebrity wedding | wedding planning taken in The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa by @somethingpainted_events

AI COULD NEVER!!! ✨🪩 Somewhere between the stars in my head and the art beneath our feet, a little universe came to life. Thank you to the talented Elizabeth Herbert of @somethingpainted_events for embracing my celestial dreams and creating a completely custom, HAND-PAINTED dance floor… complete with Virgo and Taurus constellations. One of my favorite parts of our wedding was dreaming alongside artists who saw the magic in my wildest imaginings and had the heart and hands to make them real. A little more art. A little less algorithm. A coastline this dramatic deserves a wedding to match. ✨ Sculpted cliffs, endless ocean views, and a celebration designed entirely around you. Some love stories feel like they were written in the stars. Hayley & Conrad, what an absolute joy it was to witness this kind of love, the kind that is playful and beautiful and completely, unmistakably yours. Getting to create a little piece of the magic surrounding this day is something we’ll hold onto for a very long time. We wish you a lifetime of dancing under your own stars ✨ Planning & Event Design @samkoma.world Planning Support @samkoma.mariann Photography @chardphoto Videography @mihocistudios Content @thesocialfrm Venue @missioninnweddings @missioninnhotel Florals @floralsbyheritage Lighting @jacobco_creative Rentals @archiverentals Custom Linens @curatedeventscollective Hand-Painted Dance Floor @somethingpainted_events Confessional Booth @klasseyconfessions Cake @vanessarosscakes Invitations @magnoliaboonepaperie Day-Of Paper Goods @mintedweddings Dresses @misshayleypaige @hayleypaigebride Beauty @thechelsearegan Hair @jaxseabrooke Groom’s Wedding Day Tux @hiveandcolony Groom’s Rehearsal Dinner Suit @indochino Wedding PR @beinspiredPR #hayleypaige #handpainteddancefloor #luxuryweddingplanning #celebritywedding #customdancefloor Wedding | personalized wedding decor | Hayley Paige | luxury wedding planning | wedding design | custom wedding installation | celebrity wedding | bespoke wedding taken in Riverside, California by @somethingpainted_events

There are so many beautiful weddings, but beautiful and unforgettable aren’t the same thing. When we create a dance floor, we’re not looking through a catalog of designs and asking you to choose one. We’re looking at the entire world you’re creating; the flowers, the architecture, the colors, the story, the tiny details that mean something to you, and asking what could exist in the middle of all of it that has never existed before. And then we paint it by hand. And after putting this much thought into every other part of the room, the biggest canvas in it shouldn’t be an afterthought. Your guests will feel the magic and will have so much fun dancing on a design that’s created with paint, not decals, and entirely unique to you!
