Finished My Husband Is Going to Kill Me by Bonnie Traymore, due for release in September 2026.

Thank you to @netgalley and @bonnietraymore for the advance copy.

On the surface, Monica appears to have the perfect life. A beautiful home, a successful career, two children, and a husband.

But as the years pass, her marriage leaves her feeling increasingly isolated. Andrew is working more and more, and his temper is becoming harder to ignore. Seeking support, Monica joins a group where she meets Ben. He seems like the perfect sounding board… but is he really? As their friendship develops, Monica begins to question both her marriage and whether Andrew is still the man she thought she married.

Fast paced, engaging, and told from multiple perspectives, this was an easy read that kept me guessing throughout. I read it in just a few days because I couldn’t put it down.

Another cracker from Bonnie Traymore. Thank you for the opportunity to read it early! by @somethingunread

Next obsession, please!!

It’s bittersweet to have finished For You and Only You by Caroline Kepnes.

Over four books, I’ve been completely hooked on Joe Goldberg’s journey. Watching him move from one obsession to the next, all while justifying his increasingly disturbing actions, makes for compelling reading. Despite everything he does, Kepnes has a way of drawing you so deeply into Joe’s mind that you occasionally catch yourself sympathising with him.

The You series is a brilliantly written psychological thriller that explores obsession, love, and the stories we tell ourselves to excuse our behaviour.

Book 1: You (paperback) 💥Fave💥
Joe Goldberg works in a New York bookstore and becomes obsessed with Guinevere Beck.

Book 2: Hidden Bodies (paperback)
Joe heads to Los Angeles, where he meets Love Quinn.

Book 3: You Love Me (Kindle)
Joe relocates to the Pacific Northwest and sets his sights on Mary Kay DiMarco.

Book 4: For You and Only You (Kindle) 💥Fave💥
Joe moves to Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he becomes captivated by Wonder.

What a series. Now the wait begins to see where Joe’s story began with the next instalment out “You First A Joe Goldberg prequel” 9 June 2026 by @somethingunread

Darling Bud by C. J. Skuse
Publishing 4 June 2026

Inspired by Ivy’s list of things she hates, here’s my list of things I loved about Darling Bud:

1. Being back in the Sweetpea world
From the opening line I was completely pulled back into the world of Sweetpea, and it felt like returning to somewhere familiar but with a fresh perspective.

2. Ivy’s story
We finally get to find out what happened to Ivy. Following her through the ups and downs of teenage life while she deals with difficult family relationships made her story emotional and very compelling.

3. Seeing familiar characters differently
It was really interesting to meet familiar faces again but through Ivy’s perspective. It adds new depth and makes you look at certain characters in a different way.

4. The emotional rollercoaster
This book had everything — moments that made me laugh, moments that made me want to cry, and plenty of moments that kept me completely hooked and needing to read just one more chapter.

5. Learning more about Rhiannon
Through Ivy, we get to understand Rhiannon a bit more. Ivy learns a lot about herself, but she also begins to see where parts of Rhiannon’s personality come from and realises that she may have more self-control than she first thought.

6. Wanting more
By the end I was completely invested and already wanting to spend more time in this world.

Overall, Darling Bud is an emotional and engaging addition to the Sweetpea universe that kept me hooked from start to finish.

Huge thanks to

The Dream House by T. H. Murdock

This kept me guessing throughout, and I genuinely didn’t see the twists coming! The storytelling was so playful and flowed brilliantly. I always enjoy stories told from multiple perspectives, and I loved the Dickens reference.

I actually gasped at parts! The story cleverly builds false narratives in your mind before you fully understand the characters, and I couldn’t listen fast enough to find out what was really going on!

If you haven’t read anything by Tom yet, change that soon. You won’t regret it!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to listen to this one! @netgalley @brilliancepublishing @t_h_murdock

Narrated by: Elizabeth Knowelden and Alex Wyndham

The story

Seren can’t seem to catch a break. She’s overworked, down on her luck and short on cash, while her best friend seems to be constantly achieving her dreams and one upping her.

When Seren finally wins her dream house in a competition she’s entered countless times, she and her partner Matt move in, only to discover that money doesn’t always mean happiness.

We follow Seren as she navigates the challenges of moving, figuring out who to trust and finally feeling like things are going her way, only for everything to be turned upside down again.

To All the Men I’ve Killed Before by Katy Brent 🖤

Kitty is back, and this time she’s bringing Antoinette along for the ride to settle a grudge!

This book takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. We get to see a more vulnerable side of Kitty than ever before, reminding us that even someone like her is only human.

Full of twists, dark humour and plenty of drama, it’s surprisingly easy to relate to these characters, even with their very wealthy lifestyles! Watching Kitty navigate her new role alongside Antoinette and discover that not everything can be perfect makes for a brilliant read.

A fantastic end to the series and a bittersweet goodbye to Kitty. I’ve loved my time with her, and what a way to finish! 🖤

A catty group chat, Brenda battling through it, and a secret she’s desperately trying to keep hidden. This one had plenty of drama to keep me interested!

I went to see Verity last week and then “re-listened” to the book afterwards, so these are my thoughts as someone who’s experienced both back to back…

‼️‼️ SPOILER WARNING ‼️‼️
Don’t read this if you don’t want the book or movie spoiled!

Verity by Coleen Hoover

I actually really enjoyed the movie. Having read the book, I obviously knew what was coming, and I almost always find the book better. This was definitely the case here. There were loads of things missing or changed.

I would 100% watch the movie again though!! The problem with readers is we pick apart books when they’re turned into movies.

➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️

I actually loved all the publishing and book scenes. Seeing Verity’s books was brilliant. They should bring them out as a real-life note book range because I’d absolutely buy them!

I also loved the little details, including seeing Jeff Lindsay’s book!!

Obviously, there are loads more changes, but these are the ones I felt actually changed how you view the story:

📖 Corey and Lowen’s relationship wasn’t really explained to the movie audience. They had dated before the book starts, Corey still has feelings for Lowen and remains concerned about her.

📖 Verity’s manuscript was nowhere near as messed up as it is in the book. I don’t think the film really captured just how completely fucked up that manuscript is. In the book, it’s a whole other level.

📖 How Verity dies was changed. In the movie, she’s smothered and then thrown into the lake. But surely that would be pretty suspicious because she would already be dead, so there wouldn’t be water in her lungs?

📖 The missing children! In the book, Verity and Jeremy have three children. Chastin and Harper are the twins, and Crew is the surviving child.

📖 The canoe accident was changed too. They removed the net scene, which I found really strange considering it’s basically the image from the front cover of the book!

📖 The book gives you so much more detail. There’s much more explanation around how and why things happen, which definitely affects how you interpret the story.

And yes… I’m still Team Letter even after watching the movie. As a parent, I just cannot imagine another parent having thought by @somethingunread

Fancy Dogs by Tini Malina
Due out 6/10/26
Recommended for ages 4-8

Thank you @netgalley @tinimalina @northsouthbooks

A lovely concept with beautiful illustrations, and I would definitely recommend it for younger readers or those just starting their reading journey.

For my 6-year-old, however, the story was a little too basic and didn’t quite keep her engaged.

It’s publication day!!!!!

Life Out of Order by Audrey Niffenegger
Publication Date: 6 October 2026

Thanks to @aaniffenegger @htpbooks and @netgalley i was transported to the future to read this one early!!

My views below;

Dark, twisty, chaotic, political, and full of time hopping, this is a dystopian tale centred around a world of time travellers.

The story follows Alba, the daughter of Henry and Clare from The Time Traveler’s Wife. Like her father, she suffers from Chrono-Displacement Disorder, which causes her to travel through time.

Alba navigates both her present life and the worlds she travels into. Juggling timelines, music, family, love, and of course meeting Henry again (I was desperate for even a glimpse of him!), her journey feels both comfortingly familiar and completely new.

We encounter other time travellers and catch up with several familiar characters from The Time Traveler’s Wife.

Alba is deeply torn by the realities of being a time traveller. Much like her father, she is forced to make heartbreaking choices that affect the people she loves most. It’s bittersweet to see her as an adult, to hear her thoughts, and to watch the secrets she keeps begin to collide. Through it all, the Yellow House remains her constant.

I really enjoyed this book, although the ending felt a little unfinished for me. There were still characters whose fates I wanted to know more about, and I found myself wishing for more time spent in Alba’s present.

It’s safe to say this was one of my most anticipated reads of the year. The moment I saw it on NetGalley, I knew I had to request it. Having first read The Time Traveler’s Wife more than 17 years ago, I felt completely transported back into that world while also being carried forward into its future. Getting the chance to read this ahead of release felt incredibly special.

For anyone who loved the original story, I’d say don’t give up on this one too quickly. It grows stronger as you read, and by the 50% mark I had completely fallen in love with it all over again.
