Welcome to my new project— Five:Twenty Two

Five:Twenty Two is a spoken word film series based on Galatians 5:22 which lists out the fruits of the Spirit. Each poem is inspired by one of the fruits. But rather than defining or teaching them, my poetry explores the emotions, struggles, and experiences that shape our understanding of them.

The subject matter varies—some pieces are personal, some are more reflective, and others more abstract, but together, they paint a picture of what it feels like to wrestle with, embody, or long for these spiritual qualities.

Fruit of the Spirit: Patience

Patience is a virtue cultivated within believers by the Holy Spirit. It reflects the ability to endure hardship, wait calmly in adversity, and extend grace to others—mirroring God’s own long-suffering nature as revealed in Scripture.

In this film, the child, now grown, reflects deeply on their mother’s unwavering patience throughout their upbringing. As she enters her later years, the child finally grasps the depth of her endurance and expresses gratitude for the love and patience she demonstrated.
