So it's goodnight to Boca Borranca 2008! Sending the crowd away with the live version of Hubert Laws Family, with three end of the night tunes played already before it! Sign of a great night... I hope you enjoyed the set

So to part 3, the sun has gone down, the crowd well and truly captured. As Volcov and I played often together, I looked forward to the end of the night when we could draw the crowd pleasure that was on the edge of the underground that they would be singing on the way home (if in Japan that would be 7am). What will it be....pt 4 finale coming soon! by @sonar_circle

I couldn't wait...part 2 is up now! I'm not sure how many times I would have done Rock/Let The Beat Hit 'em/Think Twice by this stage, but I should shout @lukeunabomber for the electric chair sampler and LP that got me hooked on that connection. I never heard you or Justin do that mix, but I bet you probably did! As well as all the influence I got from @volcovneroli @2000black @yoshikjm @shuyakyotojazz @eddy.ramich I got a lot from Eyes Down @jjjonnn_k Kelvin Brown, and Manchester in general. by @sonar_circle

Remembering this time of year when we used to close the summer of parties @ Boca Barranca, starting in the afternoon and ending when the sun was very much down and the Mojito's were very much what was up. Chatting to Volcov at BBE the other week he couldn't remember this set...so let's go back in! by @sonar_circle

Some stuff from between 1997 and 1999 that has never previously seen the light of day… 'Bassflip VIP' was extended out of a section of the original Bassflip sounds that were included in the 'Fist Of The North Star' UK in 1998 with @chapterroad making a new soundtrack for the UK video release. 'Contortion' and 'Theme from Sonar' were sourced from DAT by @marc4hero and kindly handed back to us. Available now on Bandcamp (sonarcircle.bandcamp.com) and all streaming services. Music forever… Dom and Jaimie 🙏 by @sonar_circle

Big thanks to @befordesquires for letting Sonar's Ghost warm up for @generallevy 13.06.26 with some 94/95 (and a bit of new) Jungle. I am slowly getting my confidence on the 2 and 3000s! 30 years ago a we practically lived behind the decks at Esquires, the many Hip Hop, Funk or Jungle/Nu Jazz/Broken Beat nights we put on. Felt nice to be supporting a night in Bedford again, at one of our old haunts. Thanks to all that came down! https://www.mixcloud.com/sonarsghost/sonars-ghost-jungle-mix-jun-2026/ by @sonar_circle
