What an upright piano does that a grand piano never will!
The ideal neoclassical felt piano sound is in my opinion not possible to capture on a grand piano.

You do need an upright with a felt strip attached.
Either if the piano has one, or get a piece of felt and attach it with magnets.
I wanted an even more piano sound.

There is a strip of felt between the hammers and the strings. It changes every note. This is what a piano sounds like when nothing is hiding. No reverb. No effects. No edits. Just felt and fingers.
