Have you ever wondered why Starling is named Starling?

Starling birds are loyal, gregarious, tenacious, adaptable and fierce. That's the list behind the name, and twelve years after opening in March of 2014 it still fits.

These are the Salon Owners of Starling Salon. Sonia Nordmeyer is in the middle. More than thirty years behind the chair, and more than fifteen of those as an Aveda color educator. Sonia Blair is on the left and Kirsten Francen is on the right.

The promise they make their team is a short one. Continued education and a supportive place to grow, because an educated stylist is a happy stylist and a guest's best asset. Everything you feel in this building starts there.

Sonia did the hair, Sara did the makeup, and they ran it as a team.

Sonia has been behind the chair more than thirty years, over fifteen of those as an Aveda color educator. Sara has been shaping brows and doing makeup for almost as long.
