My 71st painting 🎨 in my mini sketchbook 📙
“Sometimes we paint what we cannot say.”🤍

Lately I’ve been feeling very abstract & this painting emerged from that feeling…
I’ve lost a few people and perhaps this was my way of processing that loss without trying to explain it…
I imagined the earth and the sky merging, and souls moving gently from one to the other…
The peach and golden layers became the light of those souls as they journey onwards…
I don’t know what happens beyond this life…
But I like to believe that we don’t disappear we simply become part of another world, another dimension, another kind of light…
Perhaps leaving this earth is not the end but a transformation…perhaps merging with something greater…

“Death is not extinguishing the light, it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.”
- Rabindranath Tagore

My 70th painting 🎨 in my mini sketchbook 📙
“The Eye of the Universe”
I loved yesterday’s colours so much that I decided not to change them today. I wanted to experiment, just let the blues, greens, yellows and oranges flow into one another and see where they took me.
Somewhere in that flow, I began to see an iris…those tiny veins of colour spreading through an eye. Then it started looking like a little galaxy so I named it “The Eye of the Universe.” 🌌
Sometimes you don’t need a plan.
Just colours, curiosity and the freedom to see what emerges…

My 69th painting 🎨 in my mini sketchbook 📙
Painting the colours of a peacock feather on the occasion of Janmashtami. 🦚💙
Krishna has always been associated with the beautiful peacock feather so today instead of trying to paint the feather realistically I simply let its colours flow onto my page.
Blues, greens, turquoise and gold…
…a feeling that flows from the heart. ✨
Happy Janmashtami!
May Krishna fill our lives with peace. 💙🙏

On your request @twinkle_asana 🥰❤️

My 68th painting 🎨 in my mini sketchbook 📙
I started today with no plan in mind.
Just wanted to create something soothing & peaceful.
And slowly, a little landscape appeared…
You don’t always have to have a plan. Sometimes, the picture finds you.

My 67th painting 🎨 in my mini sketchbook 📙
After another long break, I finally picked up my brush again. I wasn’t particularly inspired or feeling positive. I just felt the need to paint.
Maybe we don’t always return to creativity because we are ready. Sometimes, we return because we need it.

A little visitor who slowly became part of our everyday life…🐈🌸
He comes twice a day to eat, play and lounge around as if he owns the place…😄
I had to paint him surrounded by all the flowers he seems to love as much as we love having him around. ❤️

My 65th painting 🎨 in my mini sketchbook 📙
The colours came out bright today,
but my heart felt a dull ache…
Sometimes life quietly changes direction..
Dreams change…
Plans shift….
And perhaps the hardest part is learning to let go of the picture we had in our minds.
So today, I just painted…
No answers…
Just colours…🧡

My 64th painting 🎨 in my mini sketchbook 📙

After another long break…
I picked up my little sketchbook today.
I just put down a few colours on paper…
And as they blended and settled…
I began to see roses quietly emerging…🌹🌹🌹

“What we have once enjoyed we can never lose.
All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”

My 63rd painting 🎨 in my mini sketchbook 📙

Picked up my sketchbook book after a long time today …
Was not upto recording the process…
My mind has been as muted as this monochrome landscape for sometime now….

Day 62 🎨
Still exploring the beauty of painting loose.
Today I simply let the colours wander and somewhere between the washes a quiet landscape emerged.

A reminder that we don’t always need every detail to see the bigger picture. 🌿

Day 61 🎨
Today I simply let the colours meet, blend and find their own path. Somewhere along the way they turned into a windswept forest glowing in the evening light. 🍂

Sometimes the most beautiful things appear when we stop trying to control the outcome. ✨

Day 60 🎨
This morning was listening to the sound of ocean waves music.

Then I simply let the feeling guide my brush. I chose to go with the flow instead of plan, and to enjoy the journey one brushstroke at a time.

The blues flowed naturally, the waves found their rhythm, the birds appeared and a tiny surfer emerged riding the waves. To finish I added a touch of glitter hoping to capture the way sunlight dances on water. 🌊

“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.” - Jon Kabat-Zinn

Sometimes art isn’t about recreating what we see. It’s about expressing what we feel. ✨
