M’Goun, 4,071 m ✅
They don’t call it Jbel El Wahch (“the mountain of the beast”) for no reason. Aka: The hardest experience of my life, physically and mentally. 😮‍💨
When the mountains remind us that the only real limits we have are the ones we place on ourselves.And honestly. This one tests you in ways you can’t fully explain. To put it into perspective, for those who’ve done Toubkal, it may be higher (4167m), but it’s more straightforward: you go straight to the top (that doesn’t take away from how hard Toubkal is). But M’Goun is a different story.You think you’re close… until you reach the summit ridge and then, it really begins.Kilometers of walking at over 4,000 meters.Thin air. Altitude headaches. Heavy legs.Wind that doesn’t stop. It feels endless.
And bonus 😅 : We completed it in 2 days when it’s usually done in 4. It was really tough, only those who have lived it can truly understand the pain… but also that feeling when you reach the summit and make it all the way back down, and you just think: did I really do that?
A moment that also reminds us to be grateful, for the health, the strength, and every blessing Allah has given us, so many we can’t even count.
And legend has it that I might be the first Algerian woman to summit M’Goun… (I’m claiming that title until proven otherwise 🤭)

Signed up for the MudGirl race with my sis, we’ve been wanting to do it for years, but unfortunately my injury happened just a few days before so I couldn’t take part.
It was hard to watch from the sidelines, but I still showed up to cheer them on 🥹❤️ Sometimes, being there for the people you love is its own kind of victory.
