🙋🏻‍♀️ Presentarmi non è semplice, soprattutto se per farlo devo scrivere… e così, quando non so da dove iniziare, mi metto a spulciare tra i versi e le frasi già scritte: provo a vedere se, come con le canzoni, c’è qualcosa che mi risuona e parla di me, meglio di quanto riuscirei a fare io.
Oggi l’aiutino da casa me lo ha fornito Fabrizio Caramagna.

⏳ Ho capito di essere una fotografa con il tempo. È stato un percorso tortuoso, fatto di curve a gomito, salite e discese ripide. Ci sono stati errori, ostacoli improvvisi, imprevisti inevitabili.

🪔 La bellezza di questo tempo trascorso fin qui è che ho imparato tantissimo e ho sempre meno paura di scoprire cos’altro mi riserverà questo viaggio. Apprendere nuove cose sulla fotografia 📷 va ormai di pari passo con l’apprendere nuove cose su di me.
👀 Il canale visivo è quello che mi rappresenta e che mi permette di conoscere.

🧿 Io sento con gli occhi ♥️ e con gli occhi cerco di catturare tutto ciò che mi colpisce: i volti, gli incontri per strada, le persone che si dichiarano il reciproco amore, i bambini che vengono al mondo, i momenti importanti della vita, quelli che non si vorrebbero mai dimenticare.

🔹 Day 5: Reflections in the shadow

And here we are, having reached the end of this journey together.
I would like to thank @womeninstreet and @marcislindsay once again for giving me this space. And last but not least, I would like to thank each of you for the attention you have given me.
I leave you with something that has not yet ceased to move me and that continues to ignite my imagination: reflections.
I wish for all of you that, among the unexpected encounters you will have, you may always find mysterious presences ready to lead you into the meanders of your cities; that you may always find the strength to keep moving forward; and if shadows should ever stand out along your path, never stop searching for the reflection of your own light.

🔹 Day 4: Walking on the road

Friends of this wonderful community, this is @soniasimbolo , happy to keep you company once again with another selection of images.
On this day of the takeover, we will explore the action that probably unites us all: going. Sometimes we do it unconsciously, without knowing exactly what our destination is; sometimes we know how to be true visionaries, already savoring what that sum of steps will have in store for us. But at other times we become paralyzed, we stop at a stop sign and wait: perhaps life will pass right there.

My dear friends, welcome back to this third day of the takeover. This is @soniasimbolo and, at this point in our journey, I would like to lead you with me into an almost unreal dimension: that of the city.
It does not matter which city it is, nor whether it is recognizable to most people: what matters to me is capturing its essence, the spirit that inhabits it and keeps it alive. It is the desire to go beyond the surface of buildings and the labyrinths of streets: there is an imagined universe, perhaps a dreamed one, that, if you look closely, always begins to take shape somewhere between a shadow on the asphalt and the ceiling of the sky.

🔹 Day 1: Unexpected encounters

A warm greeting to the entire @womeninstreet community. My name is @soniasimbolo , and I am delighted to accompany you on this small photographic journey, a takeover unfolding in five stages.
I decided to begin by celebrating encounters — the unexpected ones, the hoped-for yet unforeseen ones, those that often arrive on tiptoe, perhaps after a pain or a disappointment, to heal your soul.
Among these encounters, the one with photography has undoubtedly been one of the most extraordinary: it has transformed both my professional and personal life, revealing to me all the magic and beauty that surround us. It is not always easy to perceive them, but perhaps that is part of the beauty itself: a photograph is like a treasure that slowly comes to light.
By working with photography (events, portraits, street photography) and teaching it, I have understood how important it is to have the ability to feel the other person: not only does it allow us to create a good photograph, but also to grow as human beings.

And now, as I thank @womeninstreet and @marcislindsay for giving me this wonderful opportunity, let us begin our journey.💫
