So happy to share the exciting news that after a few years together, Adam and I decided to get whatever-polyamorous-people-call-engaged 😄🥰🥹💖 a friend suggested “quantum entangled” and I love that haha! 🤣

But seriously, I was grateful I found one person in my life I wanted to make a big commitment to, I never imagined I’d meet another too. And our polycule, our family, my wonderful husband, Adam’s amazing wife and their kiddo, and his wife’s partner, all of it I feel so lucky for. I never imagined my life going this way when I was young, and I’m so happy we grow more into ourselves as we age and meet the right people. 🥰🥰 Adam’s no longer on Instagram, but I love you babe and I’m so excited for this next chapter. 💖 by @sonicalligator

Another Pride parade in the books, so proud to be able to share my whole self to the world with the people I love @theironkurtain & @adamcr 🏳️‍🌈 and of course representing and walking with @gerberhart , an organization I love with all my heart 💖 if you haven’t been before, or it’s been a while, please do yourself a favor and see the incredible power of queer history in our archives, a free lending library for the community, and a bevy of wonderful programming that created welcoming spaces for community. We need each other so much, especially now, find spaces and places where you can be celebrated and can celebrate each other. Happy Pride everyone! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️💖

Join me, James (Gerber/Hart) and Eric Krull @eric.krull (Out in Finance) at the @gerberhart Community Room for a free, fun, and educational screening of the 1950’s masterpiece “All About Eve.” This is the first in what will hopefully become a film series, Out of the Closets and Onto the Screens: A History of Queer Cinema from the Coded to Explicit, where they explore the history of how queer folx find themselves and their stories in film history.

“All About Eve” follows the story of beloved star of the stage Margo Channing (Bette Davis) and her friends as she meets the young and eager-to-please ingénue Eve (Anne Baxter). Tensions flare as Eve ascends beyond a friend and a confidant in the group, and as Margo grapples with her identity and time in the limelight. Listed by AFI as one of the 100 greatest films ever made, not to be missed!

Film will be followed by a short audience Q&A with the hosts, and light refreshments will be served. The screening is free but donations are highly encouraged to Gerber/Hart for hosting us! taken in Gerber/Hart Library and Archives by @sonicalligator

2025 was, by all measures, deeply challenging and demoralizing. The state of the world, a long job hunt (that continues), and the attacks on Chicago. But what keeps us going is the people we love and surround ourselves with, the time to take to enjoy life and give back. That’s why as I go over the year I remain so grateful for the wonderful people I have in my life, especially @theironkurtain @adamcr @morganrras @medusascircus @sarahzegree, our friends, family, and for the opportunity to travel and see that the world isn’t so small and there are wonders to be seen, tasted, and explored. 💖 by @sonicalligator

It took me a few days to collect some thoughts, but this years’ Pride was really important to me. Not only was it the first time walking with both my partners @theironkurtain and @adamcr , but I also got to spend the day with our polycule, @morganrras , Sarah & the kiddo. It was so special to be with this growing family unit, and in the face of so much vitriol and negativity on a national level, being able to be seen and visible for all of who I am and who I love felt essential and monumental.

Haven’t really been on any Meta platforms except to boost stuff for the Gerber/Hart, but here’s a fast 6-month summary of the first half of my year. Cooking, cocktails, concerts, blooming plants, and beautiful sunsets. Some wonderful travel to Puerto Vallarta and Seattle with @adamcr and our friends, beautiful poly family times with @theironkurtain and @morganrras. The world may be falling apart in front of our eyes, but I’m so grateful for the people I love and get to share a life with. 💖💖💖 by @sonicalligator

2024 was a year full of great highs and some interesting challenges. It brought new love and family into my life, new friends and old ones. A surprising amount of travel given a tight budget. Creative expression in @studiofolklorechi and exciting times with @gerberhart . Good food, good drink, and good people. I’m worried about what 2025 will look like, but I feel safety and confidence in the love of the people in my life and community.
