Tour Support Grant applications are now open for Cycle 3.

Touring is one of the most important ways artists grow their careers, but it’s also one of the most expensive. Sonic Guild’s Tour Support Grant helps musicians based in Seattle, Austin, and Denver offset the costs of getting on the road, from gas and lodging to meals, backline rentals, vehicle expenses, and merch production.

Since launching, the program has helped fund hundreds of tour dates for independent artists performing across North America, Europe, and Japan. This next cycle continues that investment in the artists building sustainable careers beyond their home markets.

Cycle 3
• Tours eligible: September through December 2026
• Applications close: July 31
• Notifications: September 2
Artists may receive $150 per eligible tour date, up to 10 dates per calendar year for a maximum of $1,500.

The Tour Support Grant is made possible through Sonic Guild members and generous partners including Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy Foundation, The Head & The Heart’s Rivers & Roads Foundation, The Redfellow Foundation, DistroKid, and The Mishawaka Initiative.

Redbud creates music that feels expansive, luminous, and transformative. With a recent Tiny Desk submission and a captivating live presence, their songs shimmer somewhere between the earthly and the ethereal.

Come connect with fellow music lovers and experience two artists pushing Austin’s music scene forward in entirely different ways.

The music industry changed. Support for artists had to change too.

In this new @spinmag feature, we explore how a community of music lovers, donors, and partners is helping independent musicians build sustainable careers through artist grants, producer funding, and tour support.

For more than a decade, Sonic Guild members have gathered at intimate showcases, discovered emerging artists, and helped direct funding to the musicians they believe in, investing millions of dollars into local music communities along the way.

It’s a simple idea: if we want great music tomorrow, we have to invest in it today.

Thanks to SPIN for telling the story of the artists, fans, members, donors, and supporters behind this work.
