🎹 STUDIO ESSENTIALS with @sonidy Sonidy shares his top piece of studio gear that he can't live without: " I make all my music in the box. My number one essential plugin is Ableton's Operator. I made a sub bass a while ago watching a tutorial I believe by Camiel Daamen and used it on almost all my tracks of the last year (at least as a sub layer of my basslines). I tried a lot of 3rd party plugins but none come close to this for me. It's essentially just a sub bass, very simply made but very powerful when you're in need for some proper energy and push for your bass. I have it in my template now with a custom processing chain (some saturation and distortion from other stock plugins). I remember using it in 'Dub Saved The Kingdom' as a sub layer, but also on my Traxx Underground EP with Benny S on 'Deep Music', 'Fantasy' and 'Freedom'. Before that I was always struggling to find a proper low end, for example in 'Polygon' with Érratic I used something similar to a Lately Bass, but I had to compensate a lot in volume and EQing for the lack of sub I initially had. This sub would've saved me a lot of time on that record. I can recommend Ableton's stock Hip-Hop sub bass, which is very similar to the one I use, if not even more powerful! πŸ“‘ SONIDY - DUB SAVED THE KINGDOM @sonidy 'I live and breathe house music' - For a DJ and producer, it's an extraordinary reality rather than a common phrase. Sonidy seamlessly blends elements of deep house and minimal, drawing inspiration from the vibrant late 90s' house scenes, old school drum & bass and soul vocals. Expect dusty drums and a driving groove that compels even the most reluctant feet to move. His fusion of heavy low end, atmospheric synths and soulful vocals have received support from renowned names in the industry, including Chris Stussy, Enrico Mantini, Di Chiara Brothers and Cinthie to name a few. πŸ” Get this track + 4 brand new exclusive hot tracks πŸ”₯ from around the 🌍: πŸ’Ž @bobby_odonnell πŸ’Ž @robertjamesmusic πŸ’Ž @luyse_luise πŸ’Ž @gibs.dnya 🀝 Support fair pay for independent artists.
