"It's not what I have, it's what I lack. I'm always waiting for something more. Something that will take me out of here, from this place, from this life. Because, even though I have everything, there is still something I can't reach."

- Holly Golightly | Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961)

"They looked at us, but they didn’t see us. They spoke to us, but they didn’t hear us. We were always there, between life and death, between what they wanted us to be and what we truly were. We never found the words to explain what we felt; we only knew that we were trapped in a dream from which we couldn’t wake up."

The Virgin Suicides, Directed by Sofia Coppola, 1999.
