… and we Back!

December 19th we make our return to @ot301adam with a very special event featuring Jungle & D&B wave maker Tamen (IE/AU) and a gang of our favourite local selectors in support, this one’s going to be HEAVY!

Tamen (Irish born, Naarm/Melbourne based producer & DJ) renowned for his lethal, high-energy sets and surgical sound design. Having shelled dancefloors from London to Berlin, Keep Hush in Eora/Sydney, and festival mainstays like Outlook and Sun & Bass this is not one to be missed.

It’s been a hot minute since SURFACE took over our favourite Amsterdam music bar @bartheoamsterdam …a full year in fact! Last summer we hosted Aotearoa/New Zealand regional heavy weight, @the_big_a_nz of The Session, (Aotearoa/New Zealand’s longest running electronic/dance music radio show). This year The Session celebrates 40 years of power on @radioactive.fm and we are stoked to host @the_big_a_nz and long time collaborator and co host of The Session @nz.jedi (both of whom have featured on many of the early SURFACE line ups back in 2017, along side SURFACE Lynchpin, the ‘Son of the Session’, the Son of Sesh.

To top things off @bennylindsaywilliams will drop through as part of his 2026 EU summer tour. Following a stand out performance at Rainbow disco club and his debut album release (Family Fruit) on his own imprint @auntyrecords ,we are super excited to have him along. As always SURFACE locals @gemma.maree and @sonofsesh round out this essential end of summer night on the Rozengracht.

Expect tall tales, premium pints (of the dark stuff) smooth (amaretto) sours, banging break beats, bussin’ baselines and sultry synth lines. Entry is free!

Date: 12.09.2026
Time: 2000-0300
Entrance: Free

Line up:
The Big A (The Session)
Jedi (The Session)
Benny Salvador (Aunty Records)
Gemma Maree (SURFACEMASSIEF)
Son of Sesh (SURFACEMASSIEF)

I’ve been a big fan of @operator.radio since I first moved to the Netherlands back in 2019. It was an honour to run some tunes for them and nice to get into some of the more ‘rukus’ plates in the Son of Sesh archive. Full recording of the show can be found on their SoundCloud but I’ve also uploaded the video recording to my YouTube account so run it back.

Always a pleasure to drop past @rrfm.fm and spin some plates, this time was extra sweet as I was able to give their new Hifi sound system a good flex. As usual I dug deep into the archives, throwing around some of the best Jungle Heaters I’ve picked up digging over the past year or so. Run the set back on the RRFM SoundCloud or check out the full recording I’ve uploaded to YouTube. Links where you would expect them to be. Tracklist on the final slide.
