For those of us in production in East Tennessee, there was always a high probability that we’d get a call for a project with @dollyparton at least once, more if we were lucky. I’m so glad I had that chance twice in my career.

She was the same Dolly off camera as she was on camera. She worked the room, greeted crew, and made sure to make the space welcoming. Few people can do that with such apparent effortlessness, and still be their genuine selves.

But for someone who did everything she could to use her success for the good of humanity, with a special dedication to the communities of her East TN home, it was clear that kindness, compassion, and generosity were deeply woven into the fabric of her being. Her light shone brighter than most, especially because it ignited so many others, and it will continue glowing for a very long time. Still, this is a huge loss. The world is, indisputably, better off for having had her in it. by @sonolocus

Shells and cheese is one of my favorite tools for creepy, slimy sounds in film. It’s especially great for horror Foley and effects. On a recent supply run, something caught my attention: @kraft_brand playing dirty. Read before you buy, folks.

Velveeta Shells and Cheese Big Cup for $2.99, or the Big Bowl for $4.19? Well, they both contain the exact, same amount of food: 5oz dry weight, or 142g cooked serving size. But if you want the cool, square bowl, they’ll gladly take your money. by @sonolocus
