Last night I watched “Heart of the Beast” with Brad Pitt and my heart got absolutely crushed again. 💔. There is an unspeakable bond that forms between a broken man with dog. This dog was the reason I am not in prison or dead today. He carried me thru a season of my life that I can only described as an existential threat to every aspect of my life. He traveled with me thru several states. Watched me as I fell into a cocaine addiction and alcohol and was there by my side thru the worst of it. His love for me never stopped. He bit so many people it’s a miracle I never got sued. He was the most maladjusted dog I’ve ever owned. He hated everyone,….but me. I miss my friend so much. My heart hurts. It’s been 3 years since he’s passed and some nights I wake up ….thinking he is still sleeping at the foot of my bed. My shadow, my protection, my Kaiser. by @sons.of.17
