Two new additions to my skincare routine have been bringing me a lot of joy and radiance 🌟

Sometimes just the simple act of applying something that smells good, feels good, and is doing good— makes me feel good, great even!

The act of caring for my skin has become an important part of my self care routine— watching what I put in my body and on my skin has been a big part of the last 5 years. So far I am LOVING my results. 👏

I may turn 50 today, but as my daughter said, I don’t look a day over 49!🤣😭🤦‍♀️

So much of my joy on this platform is being able to share in my love for fragrance, skincare, my family, and my life.

Perfume allows me to share memories, moods, experiences and so much more. One of those is laughter, laughing at myself, laughing with my community, and laughing with my daughter.

My mini me has quite a nose for perfume and for performance and even though 99.9% of my content makes her cringe, having her be a part of my perfume journey has been so special. 🥰

Whether she’s in front of the camera spoofing me and my perfume talk or behind the camera giggling at my antics — our shared love of fragrance has brought sooo much laughter and joy.

Most of the time you just get the finished product posted here. But I love taking a look back at the footage that really shouldn’t see the light of day🤦‍♀️— to laugh and remind myself, this is all for fun and to express my personal love of fragrance.

I have a thing for coral 🪸

Not just their vibrant colors, or their structure or that in my childhood I thought they were underwater cities it’s more I love how we’ve brought it up from the depths of the sea and incorporated their design and silhouette in fashion, jewelry, art and decor. 🪸

And now I apparently love coral inspired perfume too 🤷‍♀️

I was fortunate enough to be sent a custom blended botanical Chypre perfume from Sarah at Bloom Lab.

This fragrance is a one of a kind, literally, blended by hand using 32 natural ingredients we’re talking zero synthetics 👏

Sarah, the founder of Bloom Lab in Vermont custom blended this gorgeous fragrance for a client and I was fortunate to receive a travel size of it. And now I want a full size! 🤣

I have been fortunate to partake in a couple of Bloom Lab perfume blending events including a 2-day master class, and I’ve learned so much from Sarah. And working with botanicals only is no joke!

Wish me luck as I try to convince Sarah to bring this to market — because everyone needs to dance under lasers in a greenhouse at midnight.

My Week of Sniffs and Sprays

This was a special week for me — I found myself in some sweet smelling places, like a lavender field 💜 and a few shops and boutiques full of sweet smelling things. 🥰

Monday💜
A lavender dream— I got professional photos taken in a lavender field while wearing Moonkissed Rhapsody from @ode.ona 💜

Tuesday
I wore a custom blended perfume from the botanical perfume wizard herself- Sarah from @bloomlabvt — more to come 😍

Wednesday
My morning called for lightly sweet lemon-like hugs and Wonder of You from @altaia_official seemed to fit that perfectly.

Later that day I found myself sniffing around some of my favorite fragrance spots and fell in love with Sirena by @florislondon and Into the Wild by @maison_matine 🐆

Thursday
Still craving softly sweet cloud-like scents I went with Cloud Reverie from @futuresociety it brought just enough comfort and hug to my skin and soul.

Friday
Recognizing I was definitely in a sweetened second skin mode I opted for Marshmallow Musk by @maisonirfe with its delicate balance of marshmallow sweetness, soft musks, and sophistication.

My mini me and I were enjoying the sunny weather in Newburyport and popped in to my new fav store @thehivenbpt where I sniffed and sprayed for far too long but picked up this gorgeous smelling Reed diffuser from @pourednewyork in BiCoastal. It smells ridiculously good!💙

Friday night we went out for dinner so a pulled out a newbie from my collection @scentsofwood Vetiver in Bloom 💜👏 I will be upgrading to a full size soon!

Saturday
The day started pretty enough so I enjoyed beauty No. 19 Breathe from @lollia_life it’s classically feminine with white lilies and peony 🩷

As the day went on it got cooler and the rains rolled in— I was craving something more comforting — enter Aged Pu-er Tea from @zhufufragrance which felt liked being wrapped in a warm blanket in a cabin in the woods.

Sunday
The sun is shining once again, there’s a breeze and all is right in the world. Coral Oscuro from @diptyque just seemed fitting. 🪸

During my cedar note series I fell back in love with Aguamadera by Mexican niche fragrance house Xinú.

Wearing it again prompted me to go on a deep dive to find a video I recorded from its unboxing last year. Luckily I still had it buried in my phone. 🥰

Everything about this fragrance house is done beautifully with such intricate detailing— the whole presentation is part of the Xinú experience.

The fragrance itself is created by renowned perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux and inspired by the plant life of the Americas. Aguamadera captures the essence of the Mexican landscape and its stark opposition— think arid agave fields and humid green forests— perfectly presented in a modern hourglass bottle⌛️ 😍

This is a fresh, woody, aromatic fragrance housed in a stunning 50ml sculpted vessel — designed to be repurposed as a tiny vase or piece of decor once the perfume is finished.

Aguamadera is such an elegant interpretation of its intended landscape — blending distinctively outdoorsy elements like agave, green lime, and sea salt, with resinous warm woods. There is a slightly sweet powderiness to this combination of notes that keeps it from ever leaning too smoky or boozy— permitting it to hover in this citrus-aquatic-warm-earthy space. 🤌
