To personalize my experience as your friend would discredit your impact on anyone who really got to know you. Whether from a far or in close proximity you possessed a magnetism beyond explanation. I would at times forget our age gap when you would say something profound and I would also know you were on some bullshit when you would speak with a side eye and grin. Embracing your youth was not an issue at the same time. Every era and every genre of youthful expression was bursting out of your art interchangeably. I would argue the more childish the delight it was more enticing, but the execution of the indulgence had to be illustrious. Whatever form of yourself you morphed into had to be taken serious and could at the blink of an eye become boring to you and quickly abandoned. Each mood and personality was vaulted and accessible at anytime. I can name countless artist who directly felt drawn to your complexities and adopted them thus catapulting them into success. Nothing more than a laugh came of it because you knew how powerful you were. You knew that some people needed an inspiration of some sort. My favorite thing was just to be in the audience of people who admired you. Video shoots, studio sessions, whatever the case may be; I was committed to the way the plot unfolded. When things grew difficult you still had the decrement to hold on and never once lost composure. We gone keep the flame lit. I can hear you laughing when I listen close enough. I am often asked, “Why haven’t you published your literature?” “Have you finished those scripts?” And so forth. My only response is typically; Experiencing life unnoticed and authentically is like a drug to me. I then think about how those traumatized and rejected by society are the most mimicked. Specifically people who never process their pain and wither away young. It’s never the intellectually accomplished or those celebrated for inspiring others. I love ALL my people regardless. The mannerism mimicked most are typically grossly exaggerated and adolescent in nature. Interesting. Being a person from humble beginnings I actively challenge those narratives. I’ll try rock climbing, which I now enjoy. I will tell that young artist they are amazing and offer them whatever I can in the way of guidance with no expectation. So why is the person who cosplays as the less fortunate adamant about hiding their scripted character? Because it is easier to benefit from the illusion of being edgy and dangerous than to grow into someone not defined by early misfortune. Relax, you can be yourself. I guess outliving the 25 life expectancy gave me wisdom before grey hair. I have a big responsibility and debt to my people. Anyway, new single 10/02/26
