When putting The Hush Muff on we always advise first that you condition your dog to it.
This means giving them a reward the first few times it goes on , which create a positive experiance with it.
Being calm and confident is the key and as you can see in the video I actually drop the treats on the ground so the dog drops her head.

You want it to be snug fitting and allow the ears to lay flat.

By doing a little training with your dog, you can then reap the rewards of The Hush Muff.

🐾 Is your dog ready for firework season? 🐾🎇
With Bonfire Night and holiday celebrations around the corner, many of our four-legged family members are about to experience a lot of stress. If your pup panics when the loud bangs start, it’s not too late to help them feel a bit more secure.

If like us, you will be staying home for the evening to keep your dog/s company and as stress free as possible, we hear you!

Here is your quick, step-by-step checklist to get through the night smoothly:
☀️ Walk early: Exercise your dog during daylight hours. Do not take them out once it gets dark—unexpected bangs can cause even well-trained dogs to bolt in panic.
🥘 Dinner & distractions: Serve their evening meal in puzzle feeders, Lickimats, or give them long-lasting chew toys to channel nervous energy into focus.
📦 Build a cozy den: Create a safe haven. Cover a crate or a corner with thick duvets and blankets to muffle the sharp cracks and flashes of light.
🎶 Drown out the noise: Mask the booms by turning up the TV or radio. Classic FM are hosting soothing pet-calming music during major firework events!
🫂 Comfort them: Despite old myths, you CAN comfort your dog. If they seek you out for reassurance, cuddle and soothe them. Forcing them to face it alone can worsen their anxiety.
If your dog suffers from severe, uncontrollable panic, please speak to your vet about medical options to give them relief.

We will have our calming candles on from @littlepaws71 and also using the Hush Muff from @sootheandsettleuk to help with anxiety and fear. (Use our affiliate code for discount https://sootheandsettle.com/Funhouse10 for 10% off)

Happy Monday fellow Boston Lovers ❤️

We all know what week it is - 🎇 - it’s Bonfire week. For some dogs, this is just another normal week, and we salute their bravery!

But for those dogs that struggle, it’s a tough week for them and their owners. We can’t help but want to protect them knowing once the panic hits there isn’t a great deal we can do but comfort them 💔

@sootheandsettleuk have kindly donated some of their Hush Muffs to our foster dogs to keep them as comfortable as possible throughout this week and when needed into the new year ❤️

The Hush Muff is uniquely designed to muffle the audible impact of sudden loud noises by embracing your dog’s satellite dishes, sorry ears, in a gentle hug to reduce stress whilst providing comfort 🥹

Code BTR gets you 10% off with 15% commission to our gorgeous bosties ❤️

Thank you so much to @sootheandsettleuk for their kind donation, it really means the world to us as a small breed specific rescue 🖤

Make sure your check out our blog online on helping your pooches stay calm this season 🥰

What a game changer these soothing muffs are by @sootheandsettleuk. My older boy is petrified of fireworks so tried him with an ear muff. He has been settled, calm and tail wagging whilst the village fireworks were happening 🎇 so worth the money!

If you want to purchase one use our name Be:Dog to get a discount.

We have this every year and it’s heart breaking. Koko is literally terrified of fireworks and has severe panic attacks We have tried everything possible from thunder shirts to plug ins to sprays to radio to drum music to medication. Nothing has ever helped her. This year we have medication and an @sootheandsettleuk and a @dgspetproducts chill kuzzi natural far infra red relaxing blanket. by @sootheandsettleuk

The Hush Muff is well known to help dogs who have a fear of fireworks but did you know its actually used for lots of other stressful situations such as

- vet visits (If they pant or shake, The Hush Muff can help reduce this)

- grooming (This includes nail trimming , hair drying and teeth cleaning)

- travelling (LOTS of dogs have had massive success in the car who previously hated going anywhere in the car. We have also many customers who use it for flights and train rides)

- events (You want to take your dog to an event but worried about their hearing getting damaged - The Hush Muff. The neon orange is also great for visibility if you have a dog who needs to be seen)

- cafe/pubs (when you want your dog to chill with you and there hypervigilant - popping The Hush Muff on helps them relax)

What does your dog struggle with ? Have you tried using The Hush Muff to help them ?

What can I say, gal’s a foodie 💁🏼‍♀️

With bonfire night coming up (and the fact that fireworks have already started in our area 😭) we’ve been getting Goji used to wearing her Hush Muff from @sootheandsettleuk
It may look silly to some, we call her our little babooshka🤣 but I truly believe this will be a lifesaver this year for us! For as long as we’ve had Goji she’s been terrified of fireworks no matter what we do and regular snoods just don’t quite cut it but the Hush Muff is designed alongside sound engineers to ensure it cuts the impact of sudden noises in HALF! Perfect for pups who struggle with fireworks, bangs, or even loud environments.

We have the leopard print Hush Muff for Goji (and how blooming cute is it😭🥹) but there’s a huge variety of colours and sizes available 🤎

Very kindly gifted 🤎 by @sootheandsettleuk
