Happening now at Bunnings Fairfield - Come down to Bunnings Fairfield and support 5th Northcote Scout group send our leaders and scouts to Jamboree in QLD.

Just 10 mins outside of Hida Takayama is the incredible open air Hida -no-sato Museum. Traditional & original Japanese farm houses from the region , called gasshō- Zukuri with their unique thatched rooves were dismantled & rebuilt here. Stunning to see these crafts and skills and to appreciate how life was in rural Japan. by @soph_nilsson

A spontaneous trip up to the Japanese Alps region didn’t disappoint. The river side small town of Hida Takayama has pretty canals, abundant autumn foliage, unseen bears, master timber craftsmanship, samurai history and local delicacies. Hida beef was an amazing discovery and is highly prized. by @soph_nilsson

Hida Takayama cuisine highlights sweet miso grilled on magnolia leaf, breakfast radish pickles with rice porridge & salted plums, miso wrapped in basil leaves. Delicious way to start the morning. by @soph_nilsson

Coastal beauty in Gippsland curated by my 7 yr old . So grateful for the stunning coasts, hinterlands, high plains and wildernesses we have and are blessed with in Australia. Which is why I’m getting behind Climate for Change C4C fundraising for the next 4 weeks. $ raised goes to C4C ( a not for profit charity ) who are committed to educating & empowering everyday Aussies’ to take meaningful action on climate change to create the groundswell of support needed for effective action .
