This summer was… a lot.

A lot of beautiful moments, a lot of growth, a lot of dancing, creating, performing, meeting people, feeling things, and just letting myself experience life. But also a lot of confusion, attachment, disappointment, loneliness, and having to sit with feelings I didn’t always know what to do with.

Some connections brought out parts of me I didn’t even realize were still there. Some made me feel really seen. Some made me question myself. And some reminded me that you can care about someone so deeply and still not be able to make them stay, change, or meet you where you are.

I think I spent a lot of this summer learning the difference between holding onto something because it genuinely matters to me and holding onto something because I’m scared of what letting go might mean. Honestly… I’m still figuring that one out.

But going into fall, I feel a little different.
Not like I suddenly have everything figured out, because absolutely not. I feel a little more okay with letting things be what they are instead of constantly trying to find an answer, a reason, or some kind of closure.

The things that hurt me, the people I loved, the moments I wish went differently… I don’t want to erase any of it. It all meant something to me. It all became a part of my story somehow. That’s what I’m taking with me into this next season.

Not becoming colder. Not caring less. Learning how to let things go without letting them take pieces of me with them.

I’m still soft. Still romantic. Still hopeful. Still a little chaotic. Still wanting to love, create, dance, connect, explore, and experience as much of this life as I can without losing all of myself in the process.

Water keeps moving. Concrete stays where it is. Somewhere between the two, I’m trying to find my balance.

Summer gave me a lot to feel.

Fall is going to be another chapter. 🍂
