March is Endometriosis Awareness Month 🎗️
Endometriosis is more than “bad cramps.” It’s chronic pain. It’s surgeries. It’s hormonal chaos. It’s fertility issues. It’s being dismissed. It’s fighting to be believed. Over the last 4 years, ive been fighting for my health and continue to. In 2024 I had surgery and doctors removed endometriosis lesions, scar tissue, a large cyst and found more problems. I ended up being diagnosed with adenomyosis as well. Recovery hasn’t been easy. I’ve dealt with way too many hospital stays and ER visits, bloating, digestive issues, recurring pelvic inflammatory disease, and intense hormone imbalances. Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women, yet it takes an average of 7-10 years to be properly diagnosed. That delay changes lives. It impacts careers, relationships, mental health, and fertility. And far too many of us are made to feel dramatic for pain that is very real. But awareness isn’t just for women living with it. It’s for everyone, women and men. Partners. Families. Friends. The more people who understand the symptoms the sooner we can push for earlier diagnosis, better research, and better care. I chose to share this because awareness matters. Early diagnosis matters. Being heard matters.
