Sophia Samika Tech (@sophia.tech_) is an emerging Cambodian American fashion designer from San Diego, California, whose work explores the intersection of identity, heritage, and contemporary streetwear. A recent graduate of the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York, she has quickly distinguished herself through a design philosophy that celebrates community while offering a modern interpretation of Southeast Asian culture.Inspired by internationally recognized labels such as KidSuper, Willy Chavarria, and Wales Bonner, Tech launched Samika Studios (@samikastudios), a streetwear brand named in honor of her family’s heritage. The brand serves as both a creative platform and a tribute to the sacrifices of previous generations, blending fashion, storytelling, and cultural pride into every collection. During her time at FIT, she co-produced an independent fashion show with fellow designers and created a magazine and lookbook dedicated to her family’s journey—an emotional milestone that affirmed her artistic direction.Today, Tech is focused on expanding Samika Studios while building an inclusive creative community where fashion, art, and culture converge.
