@cycle.in_ Our Golu Tradition: A Beautiful Legacy of Faith, Love and Devotion.
For our family, Golu is much more than a nine-day festival. It is an emotion that brings together our faith, family traditions, and devotion to Goddess Durga. Every year, we welcome these auspicious days by cleaning our home, preparing our Golu steps, and arranging our traditional Golu idols with immense love and dedication. Our Golu collection holds a special place in our hearts. We carefully preserve our traditional idols, each carrying beautiful memories and stories passed down through generations. Every year, we add new idols to our collection, making our Golu more meaningful and special. These new additions are not just decorations; they become a part of our family history, carrying the memories of the year they entered our home. Watching our collection grow year after year feels like watching our traditions grow alongside our family.Throughout these nine days, we follow our customs with devotion. We begin our mornings with prayers and traditional rituals, prepare vrat food with love, and keep our home clean and welcoming for the Goddess. Every preparation requires time, patience, and dedication, but the happiness of preserving our culture makes every effort worthwhile. One of the most cherished traditions is inviting ladies and young girls to our home, offering them kumkum and small gifts as a symbol of respect, love, and prosperity. Their presence, blessings, and smiles fill our home with warmth and happiness. What makes Golu truly emotional for me is the connection between generations. Our elders teach us these traditions, we follow them with devotion, and we hope our children will continue them with the same love.
For us, every idol has a story, every prayer carries a hope, and every new addition creates another beautiful memory. Our Golu is not simply a display of dolls; it is a living treasure of our culture, faith, and family love that we wish to preserve forever. by @sophianand
