This time last year I was dealing with a broken and torn shoulder, meeting with surgeons, about to face my third right shoulder surgery. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to continue my tropical garden that I have been working to build. The bigger it grows, the more strength and force it takes to maintain. There is still so much more to do, clean up and plant but it feels good knowing that my shoulder is hanging in there. 🌱 by @sophiapickle

Last year we took an amazing trip throughout Europe covering 5 countries in 10 days…
Austria: The hills are alive with the Sound of Music 🎶 I set out on a mission to visit the real Von Trap family home where the movie took place. After some broken German pleading with a kind elderly groundskeeper, we didn’t get kicked off the property and I was able to get my photo with the iconic villa. We visited the Hohensalzburg Fortress which is the one of the largest intact castle complexes in Europe from the 11th century and next to Nonnberg Abbey (where Maria Von Trapp attended). It was thousands of steps from the bottom of the mountain to the highest point in the castle but the view was worth it. There was Mozart branded everything, marionettes, cannons and we ate the best goulash of our lives. taken in Festung Hohensalzburg - Fortress Hohensalzburg by @sophiapickle

Last year we took an amazing trip throughout Europe covering 5 countries in 10 days…
Germany: It was an unexpected plot twist needing to drive from Switzerland to Germany but it ended up being the most beautiful drive of my life. Going to Munich for the opening weekend of Oktoberfest was a bucket list experience. We explored the palace, shopped for traditional Trachten, watched hours of cultural parades, danced on tables while singing German chants and ate pretzels the size of our head. Seeing my husband meet his airplane-Top Gun-soulmate over a few steins of beer was a unique but heartwarming moment. Last year we took an amazing trip throughout Europe covering 5 countries in 10 days…
Switzerland: A complete fairytale that is so beautiful it doesn’t look real. The water is so clean that you can fill up your cup from the public water fountains and sweets taste better when they are served next to a chocolate fountain wall. Gorgeous cows with giant bells around their necks make the most delicious cheese and the fondue is like none other in the world. Ascending Mount Titlis to experience the ice tunnel and walk Europe’s highest suspension bridge was unreal and the beauty was indescribable.
