We’re very excited to welcome Jolie Holland + Max Knouse to Sopra PHX on Sunday, October 11.

And this one has a little history with us…

Max’s newest album, Goat Pupil, was recorded right upstairs above Cibo — and now he’s coming back to that same room to perform alongside the incredible Jolie Holland.

Jolie and Max also recently joined forces for Wolf Dispatch, their beautiful tribute to songwriter Michael Hurley.

Piemonte Wine Dinner 🇮🇹🍷
Tuesday, October 6 · 6:00 PM · Upstairs at Sopra

Our regional Italian wine dinner series continues with an evening inspired by Piemonte—one of Italy’s most celebrated culinary and winemaking regions.

Expect a multi-course menu that embraces the flavors of autumn, with rich seasonal ingredients, comforting northern Italian traditions, and a few unexpected touches along the way. Each course will be thoughtfully paired with wines selected to bring the experience of Piemonte to the table.

We’re keeping the menu a surprise for now… but we can promise handmade pasta, beautiful fall flavors, and a very special evening upstairs at Sopra.

Seating is extremely limited, and these dinners regularly sell out. Reservations are open through the link in our bio.

We do take reservations, but we always leave plenty of room for walk-ins too.

And when it’s just too hot to sit on the patios, don’t worry—we have more ways to keep you cool. We also seat guests in our charming Carriage House, our private dining room in the back, as well as Sopra, our newly remodeled dining room upstairs.

Campania & Puglia Wine Dinner 🇮🇹🍷
Tuesday, September 8 · Upstairs at Sopra

After our summer break, we’re excited to welcome you back upstairs at Sopra for the next evening in our regional Italian wine dinner series.

This special five-course dinner celebrates the vibrant flavors of Campania and Puglia—two neighboring regions in Southern Italy known for their incredible produce, rustic traditions, fresh seafood, handmade pasta, and exceptional wines.

Throughout the evening, we’ll explore the rich culinary heritage of these regions with a thoughtfully curated seasonal menu paired with Italian wines selected to complement each course. It’s a celebration of Southern Italy’s bold flavors, simple ingredients, and the traditions that make its cuisine so unforgettable.

These regional dinners have quickly become some of our favorite nights at Sopra—intimate evenings centered around great food, exceptional wine, and gathering around the table the Italian way.

A taste of the Italian coast 🌊🇮🇹

Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight at Sopra PHX for our Coastal Italian Wine Dinner. It was a wonderful evening filled with great wines, delicious food, and great company.

Tonight’s menu featured:

• Prosciutto e Melone with stracciatella, basil, and citrus
• Cozze alla Sarda with saffron broth and herbs
• Pizza ai Fiori di Zucca with zucchini blossoms and ricotta and bread crumbs
• Gnocchi al Mare with langoustine, heirloom tomato cherry butter sauce
• A refreshing strawberry sorbetto affogato al limoncellot to finish the evening

Sopra will be taking a break from wine dinners in July, but we’ll be back after the summer with new regions, new wines, and new menus to explore.
