What A session called JACK! 🩷🪩

Here’s just one of the many magic moments from our outdoor dance floor and sunset sessions at Seestadt @aspernseestadt. Dear Vienna people – it’s absolutely worth the ride 🚈

We had the pleasure of hosting our first session called JACK and taking the club outside with Rosa Perl aka Sora @sorasora.p, where we creatively explored our own moves in a shared dance. Accompanied by a great live DJ set by Karin Cheng @kamehameharin, the dance floor turned into a shared groove.

And the best part: This kind of session wasn’t your last chance! Public Moves Seestadt is running until 5 July, and “A session called JACK” will also take place at other locations in Vienna’s city centre. So check our online calendar, grab your friends and join us on the dance floor! ✨

MUSICAL BODIES is a new monthly series for dance & music in Vienna by more2rhythm/ n ï m company

Dancer and choreographer Naïma Mazic selects one Vienna-based dancer and one Vienna-based jazz musician, who are commissioned to create a duet of min. 30 and max. 45 minutes.
The task is to explore unknown paths in the communication between dance and music, to establish a non-hierarchical dialogue between the visible and the audible, and to share a common pulse at least once. The artists are free to decide how much they rehearse and research, or whether they prefer to meet for the first time on stage. After the performance, there will be a 7-minute audience talk (inspired by @lakestudiosberlin) in which spectators can share what they perceived. taken in Porgy & Bess by @sorasora.p

How was the afterparty, you ask? See for yourself! 🤌🏻

Incredible sound by @a_party_called_jack and a beautiful improvised live vocal performance by the wonderful @gianna_music. We had the best time 😍🤝

The perfect way to wrap up an intense, jam-packed battle day? An afterparty, of course!

We are very excited to share with you the next edition of our House Dance Masterclass Series!🔥
We’re continuing the series with @sorasora.p on 22.02., 18:30–20:30!

About the class:
In this session with Sora, we will focus on developing your personal expression by breaking apart familiar movement patterns and exploring new ones through steps, step-variations and a routine. The class places a strong emphasis on polyrhythmic movement and unexpected timing. Through observing ourselves and each other, you’ll receive personal feedback and engage in focused conversation to deepen your understanding and broaden your movement vocabulary.

We are offering one community spot. If you’re struggling financially, please feel free to reach out.
Registration opens Wednesday, 11.02., at 10:00 via ourhousevienna@gmail.com.
Spots are limited – be quick!
If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to ask.🌱
